About the author
Jordan J. Lloyd is a British author and visual historian bringing hidden stories from history to life for The Times, TIME LIFE, NPR, the Imperial War Museums, HISTORY, and the AARP. His work has featured on the front covers of National Geographic History, HISTORY Magazine, LIFE Magazine and People Magazine specials, and he was featured in the TIME LIFE book 'The Civil War in 500 Photographs'. His work also features as the front cover to the Manic Street Preachers album 'Resistance is Futile' (Columbia Records, 2018).
Lloyd's first published book of colourised historic photos, 'The Paper Time Machine: Colouring the Past' (Unbound, 2017), has sold well in the UK and abroad under the name History as they Saw It: Iconic Moments from the Past in Color (Chronicle Books, 2018), a Czech language edition Historie v barvě (Extra Publishing, 2019), and most recently a German language edition 'Zeitreise: Bedeutende Momente der Geschichte in Farbe neu erleben 1839 bis 1949' (Frederking & Thaler, 2019).
He is currently working on his second book.
