Jordan J. Lloyd is a British author and visual historian bringing hidden stories from history to life for The Times, TIME LIFE, NPR, the Imperial War Museums, HISTORY, and the AARP. His work has featured on the front covers of National Geographic History, HISTORY Magazine, LIFE Magazine and People Magazine specials, and he was featured in the TIME LIFE book 'The Civil War in 500 Photographs'. His work also features as the front cover to the Manic Street Preachers album 'Resistance is Futile' (Columbia Records, 2018).

Lloyd's first published book of colourised historic photos, 'The Paper Time Machine: Colouring the Past' (Unbound, 2017), has sold well in the UK and abroad under the name History as they Saw It: Iconic Moments from the Past in Color (Chronicle Books, 2018), a Czech language edition Historie v barvě (Extra Publishing, 2019), and most recently a German language edition 'Zeitreise: Bedeutende Momente der Geschichte in Farbe neu erleben 1839 bis 1949' (Frederking & Thaler, 2019).

He is currently working on his second book.

I bought it for my parents as a gift, but my kids were looking through it and asked if we could have one for our house as well. It is a beautiful coffee table book and makes a great gift.

Got this as a gift for my grandfather. He loves historical books. It is large and the pictures are fantastic. A great coffee table book.

This is a really cool coffee table book to have lying around. Some of the photos show you major moments in time, others are more minor but still great since they've been beautifully colorized. The only thing that could be improved is, I do think there could be more photos included.

This is a terrific value for what lies within this book. Everything from the page quality, the binding, content, photography, etc is absolute perfection! Beautiful enough for a coffee table book, while content is deep & intriguing. 5-STAR all the way!
