About the author

Best-selling author, Michelle Lynn Brown is a housewife, mother of three, writer, blogger, hopeless romantic, and a cuddly lap for one very large cat. She was born in Dayton, Ohio, but raised in El Paso, Texas. The Lord has blessed her with the opportunity to live in many locations, from Germany to Oklahoma, where she now resides.
When she was a teenager, her mother used to take her to used books stores at least once a month. It was there she fell in love with the written word. As a writer, she uses this passion to share with others the joy of having a personal and intimate relationship with Christ.
Like the flawed characters that grace her books, she has had many stumbles and struggles in her life. God's grace and mercy through these trials have kept her on her knees. It is from this humble position that she seeks to minister through her writing - not as someone who has it all figured out, but just someone who has figured out how wonderful and awesome God is.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 6, 2023This story seemed so real. At times, it was a little uncomfortable to read because of the stuggles of the MC. It was well written, and the message of Christ's redemption was clear and consistent. I will read more by this author.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 3, 2020This story is a real eye opener. When the characters in this story fail to face facts and seek help their lives slowly fall apart. When Christian friends reach out sharing God's love and His word lives can be changed. This is a sweet but challenging love story.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 11, 2021Wade and Hayden are each other's lost loves, and they are each running from their pasts when they wind up neighbors after years of no contact; they will each have to reconcile with God and the things they are running from in order to start something new together.
Notes from August 2019:
Plot and Setting: 3 -- Hayden and Wade get a second chance at love, but each have their own issues to work through first. Some of the conflicts started to feel a little repetitive before they were actually resolved, and some plot points needed to be developed a little more. Timeline was a little hard to follow.
Characters: 3.5 -- Both Wade and Hayden have definite flaws and made me frustrated at various times, but they also each have redeeming qualities that made them likeable. A few minor characters had the depth to make them feel real, but most were simplified plot tools.
Mechanics and Writing: 3 -- Average writing, with lots of minor errors and a few errors that were genuinely confusing. Decent bones, but needs more editing and proofreading.
Redeeming Value: 4 -- A clean story. No sex scenes, but sexual harassment and rape play a significant role in the plot. Hayden also drinks a lot, though this is clearly not a healthy coping strategy. Themes of finding strength and direction in the midst of difficult circumstances, and listening to God's direction rather than taking the easiest road (or jumping to negative conclusions).
Personal Enjoyment: 3
- Reviewed in the United States on August 26, 2018Broken dreams, broken promises, people who want you to compromise to get ahead, the list is endless. Judging you based on the actions of another. When you are young, to slight him, she hadn’t learned or seen adults do it. Two broken souls, of whom both need to be healed, together hopefully.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 21, 2019This is my second book of yours that I have read. I loved it. I tried to sign up on your letter page and get your devotional but it would not take my e-address. My address is. sdeland42@hotmail.com. I am not a computer genius but a dummy computer user. Hope this works ☺☺☺
