- Reviewed in the United States on November 9, 2017Why are you losing your hair? Genetics, cancer, trauma, medications, or for unknown reasons are a few of the topics in Wigs, Scarves and Lies. This book is mostly about the lies. This book chronicles one woman's experience of facing the loss of lush, thick hair to the psyche and the emotional affects of trying to hide hair loss. The book concludes with how she found answers to remedying hair loss.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 11, 2017This is a great book filled with heart and facts. Not just a book that lets you know that you are not alone, it gives a lot of really helpful tips from styling to remedies. You can tell that the author has a tremendous amount of knowledge in the field from her own experience, but also from a tremendous amount of research in the subject. A great must-read for any woman facing hair loss. Thank you Myrna. Bravo.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 17, 2020I bought this for tips on how to use scarves. Instead it was information on hair loss. I guess that's ok but I wanted scarf info.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2020I rented this book from my local library and was somewhat disappointed. It has useful explanation for the causes of hair loss but half way through turns into an info commercial for a pyramid type business selling what could or could not be a quality product. BBB has issues with this company.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 11, 2017Hair loss in women is so unspoken about. So much of life is taken up by covering it up or hiding it. This book is for women that need hope! Myrna's perspective touches your heart and offers a new outlook on life!

1.0 out of 5 stars It is not what it seems
I suffer from hair loss and was looking for help. This book seems very genuine but I'm not entirely sure it is what it seems to be. I read the whole book hoping to get answers to my problem but got none. The author is in the business of selling products designed for hair loss. The products might be very good but they are not easy to find since they are only available in certain countries, ie the US, Canada, and one other country. You can become a distributor of the products if you wish. However, I am not interested in becoming a distributor. I wouldn't mind trying the products, but at their price and shipping costs on top of that, is too expensive to try and in the end, find out it did not work.

4.0 out of 5 stars Helpful information
I thought the book was helpful and written with empathy. It does promote a brand but has a lot Orchid loss information that is useful and informative. It has some strategies to cope with hair loss that are worth looking into and trying.
