For fans of Karen Robards and Shiloh Walker, the mesmerizing sequel to the award-winning paranormal romantic suspense novel All the Broken Places.

Cate's enemies aren't just surrounding her—they're inside her head.

Therapist Cate Duncan has just accepted a job with the MacGregor Group, a unique collective of alternative healers. She's excited by the prospect of honing her empathic healing techniques among others like herself—aura readers, telepaths, crystal healers, and more. The fact that Cate just started dating Ben, her magnetic new boss, is an added bonus.

Before Cate can settle into her new routine, the poisoning of a prominent neuroscientist draws the entire MacGregor Group into both a federal investigation and an even more insidious threat. But for Cate, unraveling the mystery means reopening wounds that had just begun to heal—and discovering differences between her and Ben that strain their budding romance. When a new crisis looms, Cate must trust in her colleagues' gifts and the strength of Ben's love, finding the courage to confront her deepest and most terrifying demons—or her own life will be at risk.

All the Wounds in Shadow: The Healing Edge - Book Two
By: Anise Eden
5 out of 5 stars

The story All the Wounds in Shadow: The Healing Edge - Book Two by Anise Eden is a paranormal/romantic suspense book. The second book in the Healing Edge series starts off with a bang when Cate, Ben and the others in the MacGregor Group find themselves part of an investigation that will have them using their unique abilities. What happens had me on the edge of my seat and quickly turning pages to find out how it all is resolved. This is also a story that has Ben and Cate’s new relationship being tested. I simply adored the first book in the series and the second one is just as amazing. Ben and Cate are my favorite characters and can’t read enough about them. Their developing relationship is to me one of the best things about this book. I also liked reading about the others that are part of the MacGregor Group and how they interact. Each one of them has their own unique ability and when called upon they are there to assist one another. I really enjoy the attention to detail that the author uses in her story especially when describing when Cate or the others use their abilities. This is an amazing story that I got lost in. It is part of a series so I can’t wait to read the next book.

Healing edge series and I for one loved it. This is again deviling into the world of parapsychology and alternative ways to help during medical situations. In this book Cate and Ben grow closer and Cate continues to develop her empath powers and of course being as it’s Cate she continues to fall outside the norms of what everyone has learned so far and gets herself into trouble. I so loved the look into Ben’s past and really felt for Cate when she worries that she isn’t good enough or right for Ben. I’m sure we have all felt this way at some point. But what I wouldn’t give to have her powers to be able to find out what people were thinking. Now that would be cool.

Eden continues to write a story you won’t want to end and characters you grow instantly attached to. I can’t wait for book three.

I could not put this down!
This was the first novel that I have read by the author and most certainly not the last.
I absolutely fell in love with Cate and Ben. The blossoming of their relationship over the course of the book, along with the twists and turns of the mission they were on worked in perfect harmony together.
I love paranormal novels and this one did not disappoint, I loved learning with Cate more about her paranormal abilities. I also loved the journey she went on emotionally as she tried to find her path with her new relationship with Ben.
Ben to me was the epitome of charming. A former Marine who hasn't lost his sense of protectiveness over those he cares about, the way he tries to protect Cate absolutely stole my heart and made me fall in love with him.
Excited to see what comes next. 5 stars!

All The Wounds in Shadows The Healings Edge book 2 by Anise Eden

Four Stars

I knew I would read the second book. I will say that I enjoyed this second book more than the first. Cate is doing better I feel and is taking life slow with Ben. It was still slow but I liked they direction the author went. This was a different view of Paranormal and the author makes you take note on how everything doesn’t have to be hot and heavy. But you get those moments were its really intense and the pressure for more is on. I wasn’t a big fan of the first book but this one had me understanding the first book more. The characters interacted really well together. There were a lot of different personalities in the mix and the author did a great job making sure no one was overshadowed or ran on in their moments. I look forward to book three and all the surprises the author has waiting for us.

I luved this book. I was so engrossed in it when I looked up when I finished it and saw it was 1 am I was astounded. I had been reading for 4 hours with out a break! The Last 5 chapters I was crying, laughing and scared to death for Cate. I am already ready for the next book. I will be on tender hooks until I see were they all go from here. The storyline was great. Sweet, tough and every thing in between. The characters have become my friends and I hated to let them go. I hope to be reading Anise`s books for a long time to come. She has a bright future ahead of her. Bravo Author Bravo. Highly recommended.

I enjoyed this second book but the focus with one strong exception was really on the team itself and their skills. Hey with all of that it didn't have the punch of the first book. Not as much action, and lots of filling.

I just finished reading All the Wounds in the Shadows, book 2 in Anise Eden's The Healing Edge Series, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Eden has created a memorable group of characters. I enjoyed Cate and Ben's deepening relationship in this book as well as the twists and turns in the plot. There's also a humor in her writing that had me giggling in places (sock sliding!)

Overall,highly recommend!

What a great follow up to All the Broken Places. I understand that the series spans three weeks, with each book taking up seven precious days each, but it feels like I've known the characters for much longer. I can't wait to read the final installment on this wonderful, heart and soul-filling series.

Once again, Anise Eden has created a unique and great story. I would recommend reading the first book of this series to get an understanding of the characters and the world they are in. While it is not fantasy world, most of the characters have fantastical gifts which the first book explains excellently.

This is a great follow on to the first book and gives the reader a chance to see what the Macgregor group are all about. Some of the characters that I got to know in the first book take a bit of a back seat in this one so I did miss them a little but the development of the main characters and introduction of some new ones was brilliant. They brought more depth to the story and a lot more intrigue and mystery.

It was great to see the group working together towards a common goal and how their special skills are used and needed.

The romance between the two main characters continues to develop nicely and is still very real and not carried away or far fetched. I feel it has stayed very true to the characters and their circumstances.

The writing style, descriptive and narrative are on point and the quality of them is maintained in this second book. The author is good at creating an atmosphere along with the description of the surroundings which helped with this story at it is an unusual location and situation.

I think there is much more to learn and come from this story and I am looking forward to reading the next one. This is making out to be a very compelling series.
