Apollo: A Graphic Guide to Mankind's Greatest Mission Kindle Edition
July 20, 1969, marked one of the greatest achievements of mankind—the moon landing. In his infographic-packed book, Apollo: A Graphic Guide to Mankind’s Greatest Mission, Zack Scott recounts the entire journey of the Apollo space program. Unlike previous books on this topic, Apollo illustrates the tiniest details of how man came to walk on the moon, paying particular attention to many of the lesser-known facts about the mission.
Artful infographics throughout focus on a wide range of details for space-lovers to obsess over—astronaut weights, mission insignia and spacecraft call signs, fuel consumption stats, splashdown sites around the world, and much, much more. A fresh, lively approach to the subject, Apollo is the perfect combination of science, design, math, and space.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 7, 2019This book would have been a good book for a bright child to read during the Apollo era. It would still be good to read 50 years later to understand what was involved.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 14, 2024I bought the book for my son in law who loves everything related to Space exploration. I flipped through the book before giving it to him & was intrigued by all the sketches & the making of Apollo. He absolutely loved the book & he’s not an avid reader. Would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys the history of NASA & space even if they don’t enjoy reading

- Reviewed in the United States on May 17, 2019This is simply a neat book. Firstly, the book itself is well made, and I'm not sure if it was printed on recycled paper or not, but it smells a bit like the lumber section at Home Depot. Not bad, just different. But, smells aside, this book is packed with infographics, technical drawings, specifications, and summaries of pretty much everything you could want to know about the Apollo missions and related subtopics. The presentation is in several colors (4 or 5?) and the graphics make it easy to grasp the salient points of the topic at hand. Covered are the details of the LEM, the Saturn V, the LRV, the spacesuits, landing sites, astronauts, and tons of other things that cover a broad range of information. If you are looking for a browsable introduction to the Apollo missions, as well as numerous sidebars on topics that you had probably never even considered, this is a worthwhile read and highly recommended.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 17, 2019Well, other than the cover being upside down (or is it the pages?) it's a quality item, Clark.
