Kim Schaefer began sewing at an early age and was quilting seriously by the late 1980's. Her early quilting career included designing and producing small quilts for craft shows and shops across the country.

In 1996 Kim founded Little Quilt Company, a pattern company focused on designing a variety of small, fun to make projects.

In addition to designing quilt patterns Kim is a best selling author for C & T Publishing. Kim also designs fabric for Andover/Makower.

Kim lives with her family in Southeast Wisconsin.

I LOVE this book. It has 7 compete projects for wall quilts and a pillow. Each project includes a materials list, cutting and appliqué instructions, and instructions to complete the project.

What I like:
50 block patterns are included for 6” finished blocks. These include fun birds, flowers, and bugs to be used in the projects.
Yes, the projects come with block patterns. But, I feel that there is NO limit on how these patterns can be mix and matched!
For example: I made a wool zipper bag with one of the wool flower patterns appliquéd to the front. My girls loved it. The bag turned out so cute that I plan on making more of them and giving them as Christmas presents.

Really, the author should give a better peek into this 87 page book.

This product was shipped and arrived early. That's always fun to get it sooner, thank you! This is my second copy of this book. I love it and so did my daughter, so I let her have the first one. It is especially nice to make these colorful, whisical designs in times of this Coronavirus. It can't help but put a smile on your face because of the bright colors and designs. This is a must for every person who quilts or makes pillows. I have made 3 of the projects so far and even donated one to a local organization for a fundraiser. It sold right away!!!! Order this book!

I really like the book...love the whimsical appliqué patterns. However, terrible packaging by Amazon caused damage to the book. It was shipped unprotected in a box along with a 7 pound bag of walnut shells. The bag of walnut shells being thrown around during shipping not only caused damage to the books back cover and several pages, but broke open and filled all of the pages with tiny, ground up walnut shells. Not happy with Amazon!
