    Rune, der stille und friedfertige Elefantenwandler, wusste schon länger, dass Carver wohl sein Gefährte ist. Doch genau wie seine Freunde scheut er die Gefährtenbeziehung. Doch als Rune gefangen und gefoltert wird, ist es sein Gefährte, der versucht ihn aufzufangen.

    Insgesamt sind die Bände um das Team Talon, Juarez, fast noch besser ineinader verzinkt, als Stone Haven. Wie im Klappentext beschrieben, muss man nicht die vorgegebene Reihenfolge einhalten, aber es macht manche Dinge sinnvoller. In dem Band um Rune und Carver gingen mir einige wichtige Aktionen einfach zu schnell. Die Beziehung ist durch Runes Ängste fast zum scheitern verurteilt und ganz plötzlich, klappt es dann doch. Dieser sehr schnelle und wenig ausgearbeitete Umbruch stört mich in allen Stone Haven Bänden, aber hier ganz besonders, da Rune als sehr sensilber Wandler beschrieben wird.
    Deshalb auch hier nur 3 Sterne.
