Katy did a wonderful job clarifying how important it is to wait on God's timing. Too often we run ahead of His plan for our lives only to find that waiting on Him was in our best interest. While Lincoln and Sarah had both been hurt in their previous relationships it was clear they were looking for God to lead the way.

I was really enjoying this book. It really pegged both sides of being with family & friends, and those people who can't be there. I liked that the author got behind a child's bad behavior and with family was able to show how to fix or control some of it. No magic wand for the fix, only old fashioned one on one with the child, and going over issues and explaining homework.

This book was headed towards a five star rating. However, I never expected the end of the book to be the end of a normal chapter. There is no ending!!!

Sarah and Lincoln make such a perfect couple. It was very refreshing to read a story where the main characters were open and honest with one another. The Christian aspect was prominent but subtle enough to allow a genuine story to take place. I loved both Sarah and Lincoln's reactions to the different situations they were faced with. They were real. They made mistakes, and they owned those mistakes. Meadow Creek sounds like a place I would love to visit, you can't go wrong in a town with a snowman building contest!

This book was a joy to read! It is a heartwarming story that is very well written. You will fall in love with Dougie, he is such a sweet little boy. This is a Christmas story you don't want to miss.
