Very fascinating characters. Kept me waiting to see what was next.
Very good and full of surprises. You must read.

I really liked this book. I gave it a four rather than five star rating because I felt like there was just as little too much thought processing written into the dialogue. Also because the book starts out talking about his staff feared him yet later the h talked about how much his staff loved him. Inconsistency. Other than that though it is a great read for times when you might need a short diversion, which I believe is what harlequins are written for. Secondly recommend if you want a quick read.

    Back Cover:

But Lauranne O'Neill refuses to work with Zander. He has the power to ruin her life again. To play with Zander is to play with fire....!

Her refusal leaves Zander with only one choice: he will but her back and blackmail her until she's his.....

I must say that I didn't think that I was going to like this book but it turned out to be great. Zander and Lauranne experienced what most couples in reality go though: lack of communication and someone from the outside butting in. On both sides!
The sexual chemistry between the two is explosive and I could not put the book down. Both are very strong willed people and when wrong never wants to admit to it. They make a perfect couple.

The main characters have drama less than 2 months into their marriage resulting in an angry and awful parting. Part of the instigating event is the h believing the H was cheating on her and vice versa with him. 5 years later they are still married but apart. The h was so traumatized by her husband’s infidelity and their harsh parting she has not even dated or had sex. Not so the H who has been publicly busy with an endless run of beautiful women. When the h and H finally get busy he tells the h that he has been celibate for TWO weeks and that’s the longest time he has been celibate. I find it implausible that the disparate circumstances of their sexual history would not have been an issue in the reconciliation or that the H, who believed his wife was unfaithful during his marriage loved her so much (albeit unknowingly) that he did not divorce her but had no issues with 5 years of rampant sex with numerous women not his wife. It made me dislike him very much. The author ignoring this plot hole made me think of this issue during every tender or loving scene spoiling them. Him asking her to forgive him in the end for the horrible break up 5 years before but not for 5 years of endless rutting did not redeem him. I also found myself infuriated by the harsh difference between 2 months of marriage and FIVE years of separation. The writing is good and I enjoyed parts of the book but I wish that both characters had equal sexual history, the time apart was shortened or the plot hole was addressed in some other way.

Zander needed his image changed from the arrogant, alpha, sexy, Greek billionaire playboy into something better like a family man because he wanted to buy an island. The guy selling the island insisted on the buyer being that sort of a person so his legal team set up an interview with Lauranne's firm because her company was the best. Imagine his surprise when he walked in and there was his long lost wife!! This story grabbed me. I love that Lauranne was very confrontational, and, even if he did make her melt in all the right place, she still stood her own. I read this story slowly because I didn't want it to finish. I recommend it highly!

I am normally a paranormal romance reader but in the past month I have been getting into other genres. I am 110% glad that I did because this is one of the best books I have ever read. At first I didn't think it would be good but to me it just seemed so real becasue its so like people in love to come to the wrong conclusion about their partner and then be stubborn not to hash it out right then and there to see if it was something that wasn't really there.
If your looking for a great read, I would recommend this book.

This book, apart from referring to the hero almost in terms of a caveman, was a great read.
The author kept the tension high from beginning to end. It was great writing!

I thought this started out great, but then i couldn't believe how much the heroine crumbled underneath the hero's demands. He blacklists her and then when she rebuilds her life he threatens to do it all over again because she won't help him. And for what? Because he thought she was after his money and jumped to conclusions without listening to her side. I've probably given the rating higher than i should because i love this author, but i just couldn't get into this one
