Ann H. Gabhart caught the writing bug at the age of ten and has been writing ever since. An award winning author, she's published many books for both adults and young adults. Her books cover several genres from historical to small town family stories to cozy mysteries (mysteries published with author name A.H. Gabhart).     I've struggled with writing a review about this book, because I can't think of the right words to describe how powerful and heartwrenching it is. Jerry's story is not unique, because God can, and often will, take the worst in any of us and turn it into the best. But the way Ann Gabhart tells Jerry's story is indeed unique. I felt like I was sitting in a comfy chair, watching Jerry's life as it unfolded. It's written in a matter-of-fact manner that makes it REAL. It brings the Prodigal Son parable into clear, modern-day focus. No matter what you've done, no matter how alone you think you are...you are a child of God. I highly recommend this book to everyone...whether you've made a profession of faith, still struggling with giving your heart to Jesus, or you just need a feel-good revival in your heart....read this book!

    Great true story of how the Lord works in the lives of even those who run from him, making mistakes along the way even though they think they are working for him.     Jerry had a lot of them. Both angels and crossroads.

    Jerry was on the road downward as he tried to escape from his crime. But he was caught and there was no longer a hope of escape.

    Thank God, he had angels even in prison as he faced the rest of his life behind bars. He really messed up his life at a young age, but he did allow the angels at the many prison crossroads to guide him.

    I’ve read many of Ms Gabhart’s books of fiction. She made Jerry’s life read like fiction. A smooth story that kept me engaged through it’s entirety.

    Thank you Jerry and Ann for sharing this touching story with us.

    This is an amazing book. The first half breaks your heart, and the second half will have you shouting "Hallelujah!" Gabhart has done a great job of taking the true story of Jerry Shepherd and making it very readable. I had a hard time putting the book down. It is really worth your time reading!
