Once again Ms McMahill has proven her writing talent in her latest novel. From points all over the world the wrongful collection of long ago hidden mystical Mayan relics alerts CIA agent, Cash Luker.

As he tries to stop the devastation of antiquities and humankind, he must conquer the secrets of his past and save the woman who has won his heart.

From the mangrove forest in the Bahamas to underground cities in Peru to the Navajo Nation in Arizona, Ms McMahill creates for the reader the experience the assemblage of agents, an archaeologist and a scientist encounter as they search for the thirteen relics that have the power to change the world.

But Cash Luker may have met his match when someone from his past, equally knowledgeable and with a carefully collected group of assistants seems to stay one step ahead of him in the race for the thirteen.

I highly recommend this novel. Very well done Ms McMahill!

The intrigue in this book will curl your hair. I loved the good guys and feared the bad ones. Ms McMahill never disappoints. I loved reading about the geographical and exotic sights I will never see. I could invision them through the descriptive details. This author has a vivid imagination. She kept me spellbound until the final page, and I liked the ending. All through the book, I wondered what would happen to the hidden treasures once they were found. The new locations were perfect. Thanks Ms McMahill. Your book was a perfect Saturday read.

After reading " Marked in Mexico" (which I thoroughly enjoyed and rated 5 stars), Shrouded in Secrets was just okay. The book started off very well; I liked the theme of the hunt for the mystical crystals, but I did not enjoy the plot.

For an agent, I thought the main character, Cash, was inept as a leader and I could not warm up to him at all. Two-thirds of the way into the book the twists and turns were just a bit much. They were very complicated, too confusing and difficult to follow. The flow of the plot became choppy and I found this irritating. I finished the book but was disappointed.

With the exception of Cash, the other characters were more redeeming and I still liked the overall theme.

CIA Agent Cash Luker. Travels to underground cites in Peru, the antiquities of the Mayan hidden. Thirteen relics that could change the world. The travels covers the globe, the intrigue with a little romance. She has done good research and giving us and interesting story. Good narration brought out the story and made it even more enjoyable. Given audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

This book will keep you on the edge of your seat! It was full of action, and the action spanned the globe. I had such a great time trying to figure out who the traitor was, and I also enjoyed trying to solve the mystery of the skulls. Kim McMahill really knows how to write a book that’s full of tension and suspense. If you like lots of action and adventure mixed with exotic locations, this is the book for you!

"Shrouded in Secrets" is a fast-paced adventure story spiced with mystery, romance, drama, and exotic locations. It reminded me of an Indiana Jones story, with its swiftly-moving plot and relics tied to ancient myths. I enjoyed the involvement of scientists and museum archaeologists to unravel parts of the plot, along with the CIA and Interpol, of course! The heroes are heroic, and the international villains are chillingly evil. But a little romance along the way is always appropriate also, hey? The whole book pulses with excitement--hard to put down!

This book captured me within the first chapter. The story surrounds a legend that takes the reader to many historic sites around the world. Each chapter adds new twists and turns that makes it hard to put this book down. Can't wait to start another book by this author.
