    10 years ago I stumbled on a paperback book titled A Gentleman's Wager. I was reading historicals from the 70's and decided to go back and see what this was about. I found myself engrossed in such a delicious rogue - Vaughn-Marquis of Pennerly. Beautifully described, master manipulator a bad man (nothing boyish about him) of the first water as the Brit's like to say. Caught in his web are Viscount Lucerne Maliscar, Lady Annabelle Rushdale and me. What happens in this historical menage series is nothing short of a battle of wills, seductions, denials, deceit and mayhem that left me breathless. I urge everyone that reads MM/MFM to take a chance on the Scandalous Seduction 7 Book Series. Vaughn is a character that has stayed with me through the years and I truly hope to see more of, even if this is the last book in Vaughn's Lucerne's and Bella's journey, I am hopeful to see them again as there are so many characters that have stories begging to be told. Madelynne Ellis-BRAVO & Thank you!

    I enjoyed this historical romance! It's a steamy and sexy menage story that is well written with likable characters. I like Bella, Vaughn and Lucerne! What wonderful chemistry. This story does contain MM as well as MMF interactions. I enjoyed the story! I liked how the story developed especially for the time period.

    But it took way to long to get into the heads of our trio. I didn’t even like Vaughan at all. Lucerne was so self deprecating I just felt sorry for him. And Bella came off as a trollop. After reading 35% I did care enough to skip to the last three chapters for the HEA.

    This has been a long time in coming and I felt the wait was worth it. Not everyone is happy as who Bella ran away with, is not who she return with and the scandal is there. With her brother trying to push her into marriage, Bella resists as she wants the men whom she has spent months with and will not bend. Lucerne and Vaughn are running from each other, but are still incredibly drawn to each other and to Bella, but convention is one thing and the rules of society is another. Will they ever find their HEA?

    Utterly riveting - and deliciously long - final chapter in the love story of Bella, Lucerne and Vaughan. And what a roller-coaster! I have no fingernails left.

    Amazingly, Madelynne Ellis has written this is such a way that it can easily be read as a stand alone, although why you wouldn’t want to devour all the books in this series is beyond my comprehension.

    The three main characters come into their own in this book, each so different, but all entwined, and brought ever closer together by their pasts. Bella has grown up, Lucerne is losing his fear, and Vaughan? Might he finally be brought to heel by love?

    *Scoffs* Of course not! But...he might be willing to prove how much he loves. And who.

    No spoilers. You’ll have to read it for yourselves.

    I have enjoyed Ms Ellis' books, but this short novella does not amount to much unless you have read her other works as this gives some background. Only 108 pages. I don't see much point in this as a stand alone publication.
