Seaside Serenade is a well written short story giving Ms. Foster’s faithful readers the story of a lesser known character. We always wonder about the lives & loves of the characters that aren’t central to the main plot. Ms. Foster has started writing these short stories to satisfy that curiosity. Brock & Cree are heavily attracted to each other. She can’t figure out why he keeps backing off even though she’s done all she can to let him know she’s interested. Once a misunderstanding is cleared up, watch out! Nothing can hold him back. I really enjoyed this story. If you are new to Ms. Foster’s writing, this is a good introduction to her style.

Cree has been crushing on Brock since the wedding of four of their friends. She has had a job working for Brock at his gym and fight club just to be close to him. Brock has been crushing on Cree the same amount of time but he thought she was with this other guy Justin. But that's not true he’s like a big brother just to protect her because he dad is a Dark Knight too. But now they have cleared the misunderstanding up it's getting hot and haevy. I think these flirts are a great idea. There are so many side characters in Melissa Foster books that should have their own story. These little books are a great way to get their story out without me having to wait a few years like I have with other characters.

There are so many characters in the Seaside series that I honestly couldn't remember who Brock and Cree were at first, but it doesn't matter. Their story is adorable and completely stands on its own. Yes, there are cameos from other characters in the series, including Brock's sister Jana, but they're mostly background characters. You don't really need to know much else.

I look forward to the next flirt.

5 amazing stars for this Seaside flirt - a quick short story. Cree and Brock have been characters in several of the Melissa Foster's Seaside Summer stories. I was so excited to finally get to read their story. Cree is a free-spirit and Brock is a man with the plan kind of guy. Cree has family in the Dark Knight's motorcycle club, tying this story to the Whiskey Brother's series. The wonderful Justin Whiskey appears in this book as Cree's protector and "older brother". There is lots of confusion on Brock's part about Cree and Justin's relationship but that gets cleared up quickly. Cree and Brock are one smokin' hot couple. Once Brock realizes Justin is in the brother zone he wastes no time claiming Cree.

Maybe it's only me but to me this story should have come out during Valentines week the only redeeming feature we had My Favorite Seaside hottie mentioned "Bella"!!! also Harper, Jana, Sky + for the Fosterrites Sawyer & Hunter. Brock and Cree to this humble reader deserve a longer story. I was going to give this a 2 rating but upped it to a 3 after Bella was included. Melissa I know you can do so much better

I'm not one to read short stories or "flirts" as Melissa likes to call them, but this one pulled me in immediately and I couldn't put it down. Brock Garner is a former boxer turned gym owner who fell for his newest employee the first time he met her, in fact he fell so hard for Cree Redmond that he hired her fulltime instead of part time which is all he needed. Then he heard her sing and falls harder, the problem...she's spoken for (or is she?). This story is full of the people and places you've grown to love and become part of through Melissa's books. I can't wait to see where she takes us next!!

I have been impatiently waiting for Brock and Cree’s story and this short story does not disappoint. She is the daughter of a Dark Knight Biker with a best friend protector and he is a boxer and her boss. He mistakes her honorary protector and best guy friend as her boyfriend which with his values means hands off. Cree is a woman with many sides who you would not see as shy. Brock finds out by accident about her wonderful singing voice and he coaxes her out of her shell and onto the stage. Great addition to the Seaside Series.
