Glide: An Enemies to Lovers Sports Romance Kindle Edition

Can a serious pro swimmer turn a lingerie model into a “real” swim beast over one rocky, lusty summer?

“You can’t mean you’re going to swim in that?” he said, oozing disbelief from every syllable. His eyes took her in, from head to toe, but instead of the admiration she was used to getting, he was looking—what—amused?

No way.

Jack LaGuardia’s been hired to teach supermodel Kelsey Carlisle to swim for a movie, but he doesn’t know if it can be done. She’s a Victoria’s Secret underwear model, for crying out loud. And Kelsey doesn’t know if she can learn anything from someone as uptight and serious as Jack, gorgeous body notwithstanding.

He thinks she’s superficial and frivolous, she thinks he’s a goody-two-shoes stick in the mud.

It’s a classic case of hate at first sight. No way, no how are they going to fall for each other.

But maybe she’s just serendipitous and fun, and beautiful, and maybe he’s just dependable, and kind, and mature, and those things can be nice when things go catastrophically, horribly wrong in her life and she needs a grown up to lean on.

This is a classic story of opposites attracting, of two halves making a whole, of two completely different people completing each other.

What Readers Are Saying

“I recommend this story as a new adult romance that is unconventional and sexy!”

“Jack is one of my favourite male protagonists. He's got direction, morals, and a good head on top of an even better body.”

I was born in Japan, raised in central California, and am now lucky enough to live in New York City. I've wanted to write for so long, and decided to celebrate my birthday by finally doing it! Anyone, everyone who wants to, DO IT. Write what you love, what makes you happy, otherwise what's the point? There's nothing like getting a tearful text from an advance copy beta reader asking, "Why?? Why did you do that to her?!" Being a substitute teacher for fifteen years gave me some good ideas for what today's younger readers would enjoy, and I hope you do :o)

It's an interesting premise, but I really hate it when rape is used as a plot device. The growth of the heroine could have been accomplished with the contrast of her previous relationships and sexual encounters (being used vs being cared for) without the rape scene. It didn't feel earned or justified, turned it into a melodrama.

I love sports romance and had never read a story about a swimmer athlete. This is a well told story, allowing us to come to know Jack, the college swimmer, and Kelsey, the famous actress who needs to learn about competitive swimming for a movie she has been cast for.
    Highly recommend this book!
