Excellent SCI-FI for the TWITTERATI

Excellent SCI-FI for the TWITTERATI
AUTHOR REVIEW A great little collection of tiny tales, all aimed at the Sci-Fi genre under a collective theme of "WORLDS". I am a contributing author of five tales, but I found that my work was in wonderful company. This is an Australian produced collection with a wide ranging source of authors, from as far flung as the USA, UK, India and Pakistan. The stories themselves are just as disparate. Some are simple, some could become novels. There is humour, terror, darkness and light. The biggest warning I would give though is, a collection of drabbles is a series of sprints not a marathon. Even five minutes of reading leaves your mind reeling at the world building, the ideas, the number of stories built in your brain and ended a hundred words. Take your time. Absorb and digest each story on its merits. Then move on. You will be much better for the experience.

Drabble : according to the editor : needs to resonate with the reader, hmmm
Wikipedia : ability to express interesting and meaningful ideas
    Me : instill suprise

I did not get much more than 50% hit rate for these three 'criterias' in these drabbles.

i'd rather go for Pulphouse fiction or Fredric Brown like stuff which is harldy longer and a LOT better.

Hoever some DO instill interest, surprise and afterthought.
As another comment says do not read more than 2 or 3 at a time. This is not a novel.

As the usual the longest is the editor's drabble following the story that i peacully ignore. Shouldt i care whther the writer has a cat, a dog or drinks too much.

    13 words over target.

I just started this book a few days ago and so far have loved it. I don't have a ton of time to read, so I love that I can pick it up for five minutes here and there when I have time. The stories are very creative and fun to read, I'm amazed at how the writers are able to paint a picture and make each story so interesting with only one hundred words. Really fun book, definitely recommend, especially if you have limited time to read.

I love microfiction, and really enjoy Sci-Fi films, but hadn't read a lot. "WORLDS" by Black Hare Press is an excellent way to get a taste for the genre, and to explore a wide variety of ideas and authors. In just 100 words, these stories really suck you into the vast unknown reaches of the universe! Definitely recommend.

What a waste of my money. I thought these were actual short stories, not one page excerpts. What a waste.

Started off thinking, wow, that's a whole lot of stories. But reading on, amazingly they went by fast. A large collection of short one hundred word science fiction tales by various authors, they really are interesting and will hold tremendous appeal for fans of the genre. Did I like them, yes, dislike, no. Now onto Monsters, a similar anthology by the same publisher.

This is a wonderful storybook. You can read 100-word stories on outer space, wormholes, artificial intelligence, and more. Each page is a new adventure!

An amazing collection of 100 word stories with a science fiction theme, great bedside book or bathroom reader. If you're a fan of aliens, spaceships, and outer space do yourself a favour and grab this book.
