Four Times The Temptation (The Northumberland Nine Series Book 4) Kindle Edition
Hope is the most dangerous temptation of all…
Jeanette Marsden dreamed of a London season, but as one of nine daughters to a poor gentleman farmer, she must pin all her hopes of finding love during a two week house party at Selbourne Castle. But what no one knows, is that she’s already lost her heart to a rogue who stole her first dance and her first kiss.
Lucian Zachariah Edward, Viscount Luckfeld, returned to Selbourne Castle in hopes of a glimpse of the woman who reminded him his stone heart could still beat. Only to find out that he’d be sharing a roof with her for a fortnight as a potential suitor for her hand. But Luc carries a secret that makes marrying for love an impossible dream.
All Luc wants is to keep his distance, but Miss Jeanette proves irresistible. Despite his deeply held secrets and his confession that he must marry an heiress, Jeanie will make him an offer he can’t refuse. Will she forsake her respectability for Luc? Or will Luc do the impossible and find a way to marry Jeanie and save his families legacy, too?

About the author

Dayna Quince was only fourteen when she developed a serious addiction to romance novels. What began as an innocent desire to read became an all-out obsession with the romance genre. She gave book reports on romance novels, got in trouble for reading during lectures, and would rather spend her time reading than attending high school parties. After all, high school boys could not compete with the likes of Stephanie Laurens Devil Cynster. After getting her first job, her addiction only got worse. She now had her own money to spend and a car to get to Barnes and Noble as frequently as she wanted. She managed to maintain a somewhat normal life, marrying her high school boyfriend who was aware he was competing with fictional men for her attention. Dayna soon began writing her own romance novels, inspired by her love for all things romance. Dayna and her family live in Southern California with their two children and three fur babies. Dayna is happiest at home where she can be with her family and write to her heart’s content.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 25, 2019Jeanie is a dreamer and dreams of a London season. Enter the charming and suave Luckfeld who must find an heiress. His artistic side sees the beauty in Jeanette and his sketches will be the memory he takes with him. Jeanie falls in love and is willing to be his mistress in order to keep his love. He can't let her do that and tries to find a way around his financial situation. With the help of the Duke of Selbourne, a happy ending is found. A light and well-written addition to the Northumberland Nine!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 21, 2019Jeannie and Luc's romance is the fourth installment of the binge-worthy Northumberland Nine series. Like the others, it kept me enthralled start to finish. This story featured yet another intriguing Marsden sister and a captivating rake with hidden facets, who may be my favorite to date.
The love scenes were less explicit than a few of the early novels, but there were a few steamy moments and plenty of tension and chemistry.
I can't believe the first three books of series were available on Kindle Unlimited for free. I highly encourage readers to take advantage and read all of the books in this series.

The first time they met was at a ball and they shared a kiss. Now 4 months later they meet back up and Jeanie hasn’t stop dreaming or thinking about Luc and Luc hasn’t even thought about seducing a new woman since their kiss. But he is still looking for an heiress and she still gave him her hear anyways.... will they get their HEA or will Luc still needs money from and heiress but keeps Jeanie as his mistress???

"Do try to relax. They may wear fine things, but we needn't impress them We'r the Northumberland Nine, so they're already impressed. That is why they call us infamous." said Jeanie's sister Georgie to her when Jeanie felt out of place at the ball with all the ladie's finery! Her first ball! Can you imagine?
Of course it was difficult because all of the sisters were looking for husbands due to their father having left them almost destitute.
When she saw him, she could not breath. Lord Luckfeld. He was the most handsome man she had ever seen! She had to leave the ball and went outside and who does she run into? The very man that left her speechless, in a rather awkward circumstance! What she did not know is that Lucien had seen her at the house party during the week and had tried to stay away from her. "She was a flame in the dark and he was a besotted moth."
Dayna Quince has again written an enchanting story that grabbed me from the first. I adore the fact there are nine sisters and every one of them really different! Her descriptions of the surroundings and characters form a picture in my mind that takes me away to Regency England and I love it!
Sit back and hold on as you turn the pages of this fast paced romance because you will not be able to put it down until the end! Cannot wait for Sister five! I read this through Booksprout.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 27, 2019I loved this fourth book in this Regency romance series about nine impoverished sisters. They were under the protection of the duchess who invited them to a two week boundary with nine rakes invited. This story focused on Jeanie and Luc. She always wanted a London season, but knew it would never happen. He was a poor viscount stuck with raising a younger brother and sister. His father had left him with nothing to hurt him. They fell for each other, but he needed to marry an heiress. There were complications, but the ending was great. I can't wait for the next book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy from Booksprout.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but too many typos
Jeanette Marsden is possibly the quiestest, most well-behaved sister, but she is infatuated with Lucian after he kissed her. Now they are at the infamous Selbourne house party. Although attracted to each other, Lucian has a secret which makes it impossible for him to marry Jeanette.
I enjoyed this one. I liked Jeanette, who was normally reasonably proper but was now being gently led astray. I liked Lucian, too.
As with previous books, there is a regrettable number of typos which do detract from the story. There are just too many of them to be ignored.
