A required textbook that was worth it's weight in gold! I'm so glad my professor told us to buy this book, I've used it several times in my practice. There are so many easy yet powerful exercises inside that are accessable and can be used immediately. I recommend this to any therapist of any experience level. It will be one you use over and over again.

I wasn't expecting much as I seem to be disappointed with most books. However, this one seems to be a winner for the first half of the book. Although I know that yoga and Tai Chi are ways to meditate and have other's get mentally out of their head, as a therapist there is not much I can do in that department. I wish there were more tangible exercises that I can do with my patients instead of the yoga and such. Although with that being said, there are some awesome exercises that I will do with my patients from this book. I would like to see a second without the more interventions.

I cannot recommend this book enough. It has been a joy to utilize several of these interventions in session with my clients. Every intervention I have tried from this book has directly helped my clients manage symptoms of trauma and traumatic stress. If one intervention does not work, another one will always be applicable for use in my client's lives. If you work with traumatized populations on a daily basis, this book will highly enrich your clinical practice and skillset.

Very informative book, my only complaint is that you need to advertise if the book is new or used. I was under the impression that I was buying a new book, the book is filled with highlighter and pen from the previous owner.

Downloadable worksheets! The best kept secret about this book so far. It is easy to get them in the hands of my clients. They are useful and relevant and add to a positive therapy experience. They are well written and I don't find myself skipping over sections for reasons that I typically have to pick and choose in other resources. This is definitely worth the investment.
