Mark and Eva's marriage has been going great. He's supporting her and since the year-end awards, he's been the perfect barn husband. But when he tells his wife he wants to take riding lessons, it threatens the equilibrium they've created in their relationship and Eva's not sure she can deal. Riding had always been her "me" time. What if everything changes?


However the perfect "husband horse" that Mark's using for lessons may not be so laid back and when there's a near disaster at the barn, he gets a taste of just how dangerous horseback riding can be. His newfound joy in riding quickly goes south and it's up to Eva to convince her husband that everything's going to work out, even if the ride doesn't always go as planned.


Note: This equestrian women's fiction story is a continuation of the previous stories in the Noble Dreams series, and the other characters and their horses all make an appearance here. However, you can also read this as a standalone story as well.

Mary Kit Caelsto never grew out of the phase of being a "horse crazy girl". Though she's now over 40, she's finally fulfilling her dream of writing equestrian books for others who haven't grown out of being "horse crazy". She lives in the Ozarks with her four very spoiled and very opinionated horses, as well as a large flock of poultry and enough cats to qualify her as a crazy cat lady. Her husband, though not an equestrian himself, understands and supports all her equestrian dreams.

She's convinced three of the best things in the world are the smell of a sun warmed horse, the smell of leather tack, and making sure to hug her horses every single day.

    Eva and her husband Mark have reconciled after their separation last year. Mark is now supporting Eva's riding, but what is going to happen when Mark decides that he wants to learn to ride. Can Eva cope with Mark invading her "me" time?

    We have met these characters before in previous Noble Dreams Stable books, but this book can be read as a standalone. I ave enjoyed every book in this series. They are all a pleasant quick read.

    Mark and Eva have come a long way since the prior year when they faced a separation. Eva thought at the time it might be their end. After Mark and Eva got back together, he became a great cheerleader for Eva at her events. He took videos of her rides and was very supportive.

    Now Mark wants to ride. Of course Eva feels a little encroached on. Yet Mark makes clear, finally, that he wants to share more of her hobby so that they both share something he knows is special to her.

    Marriage is a lot of compromises, according to my Gran. She was married for 52 years to my grandfather. Sounds like a difficult time for balancing priorities and interests.

    A very cool series that works through the ride of life the ladies at this barn take, and the companions and challenges they have along the way - that the friends / barn family face together.

    This is a book about trust, love, and faith in each other. I enjoyed this book because it was easy to read and the characters reminded me of my relationship with my own husband. Through thick and thin there are always going to be problems but if you work at it , it can work itself out.

    A pleasant and enjoyable read. Even though this is part of a series it can be read as a stand alone book. I guess in previous books in the series we're introduced to Eva and Mark, the main characters in the story. I haven't read the previous books in the series but I wasn't lost in this one, but I now want to read the previous books in the series. It's an enjoyable read, the characters are strong and well developed and the story line grabs your attention.

    I learned a bunch from this book on riding and the showing process. I never could afford lessons or having a horse, but loved the idea.
    As Eva’s husband decides to join her in her passion for riding Eva is not sure she wants to share her riding time, her special time at the barn.
    Read this great little book to see how things work for this young couple.

    This is the 2nd book I've read written by Mary Kit Caelsto; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

    The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

    I loved the chemistry between the characters.
