- Reviewed in the United States on December 2, 2020I’ve been a voracious reader all my life (thanks mum!!) what better way to combine my love of books & crossing stitching then this! Can’t wait to work on all of the projects!! The only thing I don’t like is they didn’t specify how many stitches there are for the width & height. Us cross stitchers really appreciate that. Other than that, I love it!! Going to make great gifts!!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 23, 2020I LOVE BOOK RIOT! I have completed their reading challenge each year and subscribe to many of their podcasts. I am back to cross stitching having learned as a child, and these patterns are really fun. My complaint is the patterns in the "table of contents" have patterns that are not available in the book (Books & Coffee and I read dead people). I was excited about the coffee one, but the pattern given is very different! It doesn't change my opinion of Book Riot, but this qualm should not keep readers/stitchers from enjoying the book.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 20, 2024I have recently picked up cross stitch again and when I saw there were books on kindle unlimited I had to check it out. The images here are clear and easy to read even when zoomed in. Symbols are not used just colors which makes it easier to understand I also loved the anecdotes after each design. Would recommend.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 28, 2024I usually end up crafting using a couple patterns in any book I read. This one? Some are suited for my tween, & some for me. I’m on the 4th pattern. : )
- Reviewed in the United States on March 19, 2023I got this from the library, and I am glad I didn't pay for it. The patterns are very simple. Several of the more interesting looking ones are very different from what is shown earlier in the book.
Seems very beginner friendly, at least.

2.0 out of 5 stars Quelle déception!

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
Mainly just patterns for various sayings. Didn’t really need a pattern for text.
