We follow Estella on her journey from college and through the hardships of love and heartbreak, and a devastating marriage. Throw in a touch of the Cold War-era vision, ambition, and politics that went along with the Apollo days, plus all that was going on at the time with civil rights, and you have yourself an epic plot. And this says nothing about the mysticism and twists and surprises—and, of course, the steamy, borderline-eroticism.
Memoirs of The Senator’s Wife is a character-based romance at its core, centred around Stella, but it achieves so much more. It blends the past and politics, and stirs in plenty of romance and suspense. Above all, however, it is the unique and captivating storyline that earns the book’s accolades.
The novel is simply captivating; Estella pulls you in from the first page taking you through her life phase from college to being married and leaves you wanting more after the last page. The occult in the book spices it up, making it so intriguing and enthralling. Estella’s story stirs up all the old bittersweet memories in the reader-enough said.
The novel is well-structured, making it an enjoyable read; I will be reading more books from this author. I can’t wait to grasp the next release. A compelling read that you can’t get enough of. An exciting story, entirely developed with an impressive flow and impeccable grammar, is easy to understand. I highly recommend it!
“Memoirs of the senator’s wife” by S.M. Ford offers all that you presume from a fancy fiction. The author has developed such a clever and engaging plot that keeps the reader glued to pages from the beginning to the end. The plot is carefully developed with well-detailed characters, and the author takes some time in laying the foundation of the story, probably to pave the way for the next releases of the saga. The book offers a diverse collection of feels for the reader, starting from lust, rage, love, hate, and affairs. There are some scenes where the plot diverts from reality to more fiction and sensual acts, which add a different, yet positive element to the plot. The writing style was commendable as it was super easy to follow, simple, and engaging. Conclusively it was an enjoyable read, and looking forward to seeing what comes next.

The author has a great gift of a "to feel" type of storytelling because we develop an attachment to the characters while re ading and get involved in their lives—a fantastic read. I can't wait to read the next one in the series.
First and foremost, the characters. Xavier and Estella are so two-dimensional that they hardly feel real. Nothing makes sense about their lives except perhaps their motivations. But even those cannot explain their odd behaviors and reactions.
Secondly, the style is flat and unemotional, which isn't the worst thing about it. What I can't stand are the patronizing tones, the underlying homophobia and chauvinism portrayed by this book. It's ironic that the same causes Estella is fighting for are the reasons this book should've never been written. As an example, I'll quote the misuse of Plato's theory of soul-mates. Originally meant to explain man's attraction to man, the author turns it into a heterosexual justification.
The many typos and grammar errors are a further discouragement in reading this book that, needless to say, I wouldn't recommend to anyone.
This book is a unique combination of love, suspense, and politics. Although I don't have a taste of romance books, still, this story kept me captivating till the end. It's a fast-paced book with a great storyline. I will surely recommend it to everyone out there.
