She tried to get out, but they keep pulling her back in.

After eight years of reforming herself into a safe, proper, little bookworm Katherine’s brother Mason pulls a stunt that drags her back into her old wild-child ways. Drinking, check. Street racing, check. Lying, check.

Of course it’s all in the name of justice since Mason and his hot business partner Jake run a security company that takes on the hard tasks that the government agencies can’t.

Now they’re undercover in Vegas to catch someone who’s stole jewels from a wedding group. Jewels that belong to a high-ranking member of Chicago’s Bratva. The same high-ranking person who is in Vegas as well.

Jake’s flirting, Mason’s meddling, and Katherine’s trying to figure out what’s real and what’s just a con in an action romance with suspense and danger at every turn. Plus… it’s Vegas baby.

Kiss Catch is the first book in the Genesis Security Mystery series. If you like fast-paced romantic adventure, fun locals, and high-strung heroines, you’ll love the first installment in S.M. Dapelo’s page-turning series. Pick up Kiss Catch and discover the romance today!

I really love this book. I love books with family groups in them. The characters are unique, varied, troubled at times, strong, loyal, and smart. There is a lot of suspense and action. The romance is nice. Some fun is sprinkled in throughout the book. And it has a happy ending - necessary for me! I really enjoyed this book and will read more by this author.

I'm not sure what I was expecting when I started this book. The premise was interesting but fell a little short for me. I was expecting more chemistry or a romantic connection.

Even though I missed that part, I'm still giving props to the author for their writing style.

I loved this series, I loved the interaction of the characters, the banner, the friendship, love and loyalty of the three....I loved Mason's character and when he and his were written as separated and divorced I was a little sad, but now I want to know if he will find love?? I kinda hope you will have a another one soon with him finding his love....Thanks for making me smile and laugh with the Genesis Security Series.

Katherine is called home to Chicago from her quiet life in Wisconsin by her brother. She is drawn into the family business, a risky enterprise that skirts the edges of the law. Since it was mentioned more than once, it seems the author wanted to attract fans of the Fast and Furious franchise, of which I am not. Still, I liked the spirited and capable protagonist, and enjoyed the depiction of her relationships to family and new and old friends. Kate has a dark incident in her past that is revealed over time. Although this book is billed as a mystery/crime thriller, in my mind it is more of a romance, and that made it a more interesting read for me. I liked the slow build of the relationship between Kate and Jake, but a few things bugged me. Jake's confession that he had violated Kate's privacy in a major way merited little more than a passing thought in her mind, yet she had a hissy fit after he pushed her into a pool--at a time when she badly needed to be in there. Also, there is a scene where Jake admitted that he knew their hotel room was about to be broken into, yet he left their two puppies in the room when he easily could have arranged for them to be elsewhere! Aside from these quibbles, "Kiss Catch" was a fun read with an engaging first-person writing style and fast-moving plot.
