What a great start to the Bake Sale Bachelor's series. The premise is enchanting; the characters are well thought out and intriguing; the world is vibrant and alive. It has it all: opposites, meddling, quirky family, firsts, laughter, a huge misunderstanding, horses, and mistletoe. Ooh, and of course, HEA. What's not to love!
This is Baron and Theo's story. Both are roped in to the bachelor auction by well- meaning family. Theo wants the auction to be a success. It is to fund the rebuilding of the community/ day care center which burned down. Theo was to work there. Baron is a rancher. His aunt's sugar cookies melt in your mouth. She ropes him into providing a date package at the ranch, with himself as the bachelor. Bids are placed based on the package and the cookies. You only meet the bachelor after you win the bid. Theo can't afford to place a bid, so his twin sister does it for him, without his knowledge.
The attraction between Theo and Baron only grows, despite their differences. Baron starts to see the world through Theo's eyes, as he delights in the ranch with almost child- like wonder. An accident with a Christmas tree and some mistletoe help bring these two men together. Theo's holiday spirit is infectious, spreading to everyone around him.
This book has humor, awakenings, unexpected love, memorable sex, angst, mpreg, and trust issues, all leading to HEA. You will love this book! I cannot wait for the next book.
