Do you like funny, fast-paced space opera featuring space pirates, surly artificial intelligences, dashing rogues, alien artifacts, and deadly surprises?

You’ll love these three stories from the Starship Ass universe:

  • Escape From Aresh Five: A daring prison break to liberate the notorious pirate, Redbeard. A spork is the key.
  • The Overlord of Kepler-186f: The AI's mission? Terraform this rock into a habitable planet for humanity (and hope those morons never arrive).
  • Moon of Ontera: "Space raptors, my ass!" A dashing rogue is tasked with stealing artifacts of an ancient alien race. If only they ever existed.

This collection can be enjoyed at any time. Read these stories before, after, or even while you’re enjoying Books One-thru-Three of the Starship Ass trilogy!

Helps if you are familiar with science fiction memes and tropes. I got some, but I suspect I missed some too. For instance, the giant starship eating moon worm turns out to be called "Tingle," surely a reference to writer Chuck Tingle. These three novelettes are a prequel to the Starship Ass trilogy. That's a longer work featuring the First Ass (as in donkey) who is ridden by the First Tick and is known as "The Dread Pirate Harry" so you can see what's coming... or maybe not...

This collection of three prequels is very entertaining and filled with amusing characters and scenes. I laughed out loud several times and definitely want to read all of the books in this universe. I highly recommend it and hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Disclaimer: I received a copy of this ebook from the author and this is my honest and freely given opinion.

trio of short stories, two that seemed interconnected and good, the third was just way out there silly.

I enjoyed these prequels! I suspect I’ll be rereading book one soon because I don’t remember the Spiner android homage to StarTrek TNG and, frankly, this is probably my favorite kind of sci-fi - a quirky mix of humor and aliens and AI.

Swashbuckling, breaking out of prison, creating intelligent life, stealing artifacts from archaeologists, all come into play in these short stories set in the Starship Ass universe. Very tongue in cheek writing. Some might say the author is a Smart Ass. But a lot of fun. This is my first foray into the Starship Ass universe. Look forward to reading more.

Enjoyed these three prequels so much I immediately bought book one and can’t wait to read it. Thanks for the great characters and laughs, especially needed in the time of COVID!

In a galaxy far, far away - these short stories are quite fun. Very quick to read and enjoy, rather like meringue - not much to sink your teeth into but enjoyable nonetheless. If you're a fan of soperas and shorts you'll love these.

The book started out very funny and later reached the point of utter ridiculousness.
Definitely not something I would recommend.
