Review
Zuber: Two Centuries of Panoramic Wallpaper celebrates the luxurious patterns, friezes, borders, ceiling rose and architectural trompe l'oeil. It is both a reference and art book and one look at the collection will make it easy to understand how King Louis Phillipe awarded founder Jean Zuber the Legion of Honor in 1834.
-- Cathy Whitlock ― Array Magazine Published On: 2019-11-01Lavishly illustrated with glorious photographs taken in largely private interiors, this book provides access to a storied world few readers may ever glimpse. In her foreword, Altschul acknowledges her privilege in being able to live with Zuber, and after an hour spent with this book, most read- ers would be equally captivated by the beauty, detail and character of this his- torically important paper. It is a book that will appeal to numerous readers, on both a historic and decorative level. -- Madelia Hickman Ring ― Antiques and The Arts Weekly Published On: 2019-12-27

- Reviewed in the United States on February 7, 2020I have been obsessed with Zuber for thirty years, so when I saw that this lovely book had been written I could hardly wait to read it. It’s beautiful. Any book about Zuber wouldn’t be worthwhile without really great illustrations, and this book didn’t disappoint.
