- Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2020Who would think spending $4 on a book would get you a story so good? Well me I guess, as I've been reading a lot of Mr. Morris this past year and have never been disappointed, and can't wait for his next.
The story is good, intriguing. The science is accurate and adds to the story instead of taking away from it.
On the science, it's technical, but in my opinion, I think anyone without a science background can grasp it all. Morris explains in lay terms very well. And even for me with a heavy science background, it doesn't bore. This is truly written science art in its best form.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 1, 2020Read and listen to this book (#2 in the series) if you can. A rollercoaster ride through the far future! Fans of Douglas Adams' "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" would readily understand how the limits of our imagination would be tested when trying to conceptualize the ultimate end of everything. A suspension of disbelief is mandatory. Recommended.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 22, 2020If you enjoy stretching your mind to its limits regarding the universe and its expansion, then this book is for you.
The author wonderfully captures what life would be like if humans became immortal. The character development is stellar and even though they are not really human as we know it, they still beg our affection.
The author amazingly creates thoughts from the characters such as may be experienced by such beings. It made me constantly crave this novel.
I highly recommend this entire series and the author's other books.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 13, 2024This was the second book in the series. Interesting concept of viewing time as long but short for humans that now live forever.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 15, 2020I like your notes at the end. I started reading SciFi in the mid 1950's. I have enjoyed all of your book so far.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 15, 2021Tough read!!! I guess not as smart as I think as an MD, have enjoyed tech and physics but this was just not that enjoyable. The characters were good but hard to follow and not as much action as 1st one I read in series.
