What are two besties willing to risk for something more? The New York Times bestselling author of This Is Love has the answer in this fun, sexy, and emotional romance about friendship, family, and giving love a chance.

Something is off in Piper Dalton's life, and she has a feeling it might just be her. All her siblings are blissfully settled with their forever loves. But while her sisters were dreaming of white weddings, Piper was left heartbroken and commitment phobic by her first love, her best friend's younger brother. As a woman dominating the male-driven construction industry, Piper has no interest in turning in her hammer for an apron - even if hot and hilarious Harley thinks otherwise.

Burly bar owner Harley Dutch has a bum ankle and two preteen nieces to take care of, and having his best friend, tough-as-nails and sexy-as-sin Piper Dalton, come to his rescue is just the remedy he needs. Piper is her snarky self, and she kind of sucks at caregiving, but she's owned his heart for years, she's got a way with the girls, and Harley would sure like to have his way with her....

As things heat up between Piper and Harley, she warns him not to fall in love with her because she'll only break his heart. Harley is the right man for that challenge - until he makes the biggest mistake of his life, and they begin to wonder if true love really can conquer all.

I have loved Harley and Piper from the first time meeting them. Piper feisty, protective, fierce, loyal, caring, strong, independent. Harley protective, strong, caring. It was the last book of this series that I was wanting more for these two. Seeing the two of them come together for their chance at happiness was just wonderful. I loved watching these two friends fall in love together instead of from afar.

The best part was that Harley understood Piper and could work with her and the way she was. There were the ins and outs of a love that may have been there but not acknowledged. The banter and love for each other made for one awesome reads. I loved the entire read but felt most close to chapters where Piper came to understand herself and the relationship she had with the one man the accepted her for her and loved her despite it all.

first step is to accept it...

Piper had to accept that she was more than a wham bam woman. She had to see that the protectiveness and caring that Harley was showing her was not just because he was her friend. She had to accept that it was so much more. The first step for her was to accept that this was happening and allow for it to become more.

Aiden Snow brought the masculine to the male character and did a pretty good job with the female ones as well. I loved hearing his voice. He makes the characters take on another layer of identity.

This book was fantastic, amazing, wonderful, captivating, emotional, funny, and just a pleasure to read!!!! If you can’t tell, I loved this book!!
Harley and Piper’s relationship is such a force of nature. They have been drawn to each other for years, but Piper “friend zoned” him and wanted to keep him there. Harley has been patiently waiting to get out of that zone. Damn, that man is patient - like the patients of a saint!!
Piper is just protecting her heart based on past relationships. She also doesn’t think she’s girlfriend material since she considers herself harsh and not girlie. She also doesn’t want a man to change her into something she’s not.
Harley is so perfect for her because he lives her for who she is!! It was beautiful to watch him patiently break down her walls.
The whole Dalton family is there to help guide and share in their relationship. As well as Harley’s family. His nieces, Jolie and Sophie, were just adorable and so key to the story.
I so highly recommend this book to everyone!! If you like Melissa Foster, this is one of her best books!! I know I want Harley for myself!!

This book has a wonderful blend of sweet and sexy. There were a lot of facing truths and past pain with only a tiny bit of angst thrown in. Piper and Harley’s love story has all the feels. Their love story is not a classic one of flowers, mood lighting, tweeting birds and traditional romantic gestures. Their love story is about embracing who they are - beer drinking, nacho eating, fishing sports fans, and girls who build things and have tempers - and realizing that love looks like that too. Seeing calm, patient Harley slowly and lovingly break down Piper’s walls and slowly wrap his love around her heart was a beautiful thing to be a loving witness to. All of Melissa Foster’s books have a central theme of family - those we are born into and those we create. This book is no different. Sprinkled throughout this beautifully paced story of Piper and Harley’s HEA, there are also a number of secondary characters whose stories we read in the other Harmony Pointe, Sugar Lake and Montgomery novels with some new potential stories and characters teased as well. Rather than being overwhelming or detracting from the main love story, these “family members” are central and vital to the storyline and to the rounded out lives of the main characters. With She Loves Me, Melissa Foster finished out the Dalton love stories and once again proves she’s a fantastic storyteller. I cannot wait to read which family and which character I am going to fall in love with next.

I loved Harley so much. And Piper obviously.
I will say, I wish she hadn't changed her mind about the big thing in the epilogue, because that would have been so amazingly feminist and that would have been a really awaited representation of people who felt the same way. I do and I was so excited and happy but then came the epilogue .
Anyway, the characters are great and their story is very sweet.

What a ride! I felt so many emotions reading this book, I can’t even comprehend! I was happy, laughing, cheering for the couple, and then I was angst, a little mad and sobbing (and not for the couple!). What a wonderful work Melissa did!

I love the Dalton family, I wish mine was like them! And Piper did not disappoint. Actually, she is my spirit animal! She is tough, smart, stubborn, comfortable in her own skin and straight forward. What I like the most about her, is that she also has some vulnerabilities that only a few people know and understand. She doesn’t want to be married and have kids, but not because she hate them, but because she think she would be good at. Her biggest fear? Someone try to change her, like so many tried. Don’t we all want to be loved for who we are?

Harley is Piper’s best friend and in love with her for a long time. He’ll also do whatever it takes to love and protect his family. And let me say, his family went through hell, from his father disease and death, to his sister sickness and the whole Marshall, his brother, mess. He is responsible, caring, super fun, a huge patience and focus on his goals.

He is also very vocal of his feelings and it’s super sweet, but once he has a ankle injury he decided to get off of Piper’s friend zone! And it was super fun to read their road to love, their banter and her realizing that she loved him as well. Not even going to start with their chemistry, it was off charts. And Harley had the BEST dog ever, Jiggs, this award is for you. I love you.

Other worth mention moments: Piper’s father speech about people change it’s so inspiring and I think everyone should read this. Marshall story was so heartbreaking, I was so emotional, what a turnover of events. This one changed the game.

I loved the ending, so deserving and I was left feeling fulfilled. I laugh a lot with Piper claiming she made a mistake and the reactions of everyone, so good! And Melissa also gave a good kickstart for what it will probably be her next series, the Dark Knights.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow what a marvellous amazing read

Wow what a marvellous amazing from Melissa. Piper and Harley (sigh) he just might be my favourite out of all of the men you’ve written about and that’s a lot Melissa. Piper is also petty amazing as well, but wasn’t she always. This book brought out all my emotions and I couldn’t put it down until I finished its at 2am this morning.
Piper is a badass and she stole my attention from the start of this series as well as Sugar Lake and Mick Bad’s book from Bad Boys After Dark : Mick series but in this you get to the heart of why she is like she is and how Harley broke down the walls she’d erected from she was a teenager, and Harley (sigh) he’s definitely a man I’d like to meet in person if only to be a friend, he’s so loving to everyone in his family especially his nieces who are adorable even if Jolie is a bit sullen as Sophie is sweet but even they have gone through a lot in their short life.
When Marshall Harley’s brother comes in near the end you finally get to know more about these families and you love them even more can’t wait for Marshall’s book because he deserves one.
Would definitely recommend to everyone to read.

I don't normally give a 5 star unless it deserves it but when I read a book and there are no spelling errors, names not used in the wrong place and I don't have to reread a paragraph then its worth it.
Things were working out nicely then as I got towards the middle of the book I couldn't stop tears from falling, thank gosh for always having tissues eventually reading happiness and putting a smile on my face.
So glad things took the turn they did for Piper and Harley so well deserved.
