About the author
Happy Summer! (Finally...LOL)
In August, my # 80-something book releases. His Convenient Princess from Harlequin Romance. This book is especially dear to my heart as it finishes a series we called Scandal in the Palace about a king and his two prince sons. Liam's book, I think, is the best of the three! Having lost the love of his life he asks his father to arrange a marriage for him and what results in pure chaos.
I've written some fun things...short romantic comedies... those are the Silhouette Romance titles.
My Harlequin Romances are a little (sometimes a lot) more serious and emotional than my Silhouettes and Entangled Bliss titles, but I always deliver a heartwarming story that reminds readers that family and love go hand in hand.
Sweet, funny, sad or sexy, my characters make some serious lemonade out of their lemons! :)
Because that's how I see life. I have three kids...one of whom we lost to epilepsy in 2018. Raising him taught me (and my husband and our other two kids) that sometimes a situation that seems bad can have its blessings.
Also, being raised in a family of 11 kids (yes, 11) I learned a lot about sharing and how love encompasses more than just romance.
Having been with my husband for a long time, I still believe the best thing in life is romantic love. Being treasured, respected and wanted.
So pick up one of my books this week or weekend and see my sometimes wacky, sometimes heartrending vision of real love!

The corridors of the luxurious Harrington Park Hotel echo with bittersweet and painful memories of the past for Hugo Harrington. The hotel had been in the family for generations and had once been home for Hugo and his siblings – until a cruel twist of fate had transformed his safe haven and sanctuary into somewhere he no longer felt welcome or wanted. But a lot has changed for Hugo and the hotel in the last few years. Now that they have tentatively started to vanquish their former demons, the family is determined to restore the hotel to its former glory and Hugo will pull out all the stops to make this happen. But in order to make his dream a reality, he needs help – which is why he asks New Yorker Erin to assist him in renovating the hotel.
Erin was surprised when she was hired by Hugo to help restore the Harrington Park Hotel’s fortunes – especially as Christmas is just around the corner. Initially Erin thought that for Hugo, the hotel was just another business venture and that all he was interested in was making as much money as he possibly can. However, the more time she spends with him, the more she realises that for Hugo, this isn’t business, but something far more personal. But just what is driving Hugo? As she sees him wrestle with old memories from his torrid past, she quickly begins to see a different side to the brooding boss she finds herself drawn to and attracted by…
Being back at Harrington Park Hotel has been anything but easy for Hugo, but having Erin by his side has made the entire process so much more bearable. As they begin to get closer with each passing day, keeping things strictly professional between the two of them proves easier said than done. However, when giving into temptation proves inevitable, will they find the courage to admit the truth about the depth of their feelings for one another? Or will their fears and insecurities prevent them from grasping this unexpected chance at happiness with both hands?
Susan Meier’s Stolen Kiss with Her Billionaire Boss is a moving, dramatic and enjoyable contemporary romance about second chances, hope and finding the courage to take a chance on love that tugs at the heartstrings and will bring a smile to your face.
Erin and Hugo are both wonderful characters I couldn’t help but love. Erin was a strong, resilient and compassionate heroine and Hugo is a brooding and charismatic hero who will steal your heart.
A beautifully written contemporary romance perfect for curling up with this Christmas, Susan Meier’s Stolen Kiss with Her Billionaire Boss is a delight from beginning to end.
What bothered me about this was that it was unnecessary. Hugo could just have hired Erin in London and the whole romance happened there… and the only thing cut would have been the Touristy American In London At Christmas schtick which really didn’t add to the romance at all. And the romance itself was actually really good; Hugo and Erin both have past relationship trauma and Erin is a single mother (with adorable plot moppet son and hilariously sassy mother as side characters). There’s some great scenes where Erin makes clear and rational decisions about just having a no-strings affair with Hugo, which were delightfully affirming of a woman’s right to do exactly that and not be treated as slutty - of course it doesn’t work out that way as emotions get involved, but I liked the attitude towards it being a completely valid choice if that was what they both wanted. There are also no rivals for the affections of either of them in the story, keeping the conflict strictly based on their own internal struggles, which I also really liked.
This is apparently the third in a trilogy about the Harrington siblings by different authors, and I haven’t read the other two, but I don’t think there was too much missed out on - Hugo’s sister Sally has some Big Drama happening which is obviously simultaneous with her own book, but I was able to follow along okay. The revelation that their mother was subject to emotional and financial abuse which led to the breakup of their family may be triggering for some, so please be aware.
Overall I did like this but I struggled from the outset to accept the premise. If you can ignore the utter unlikeliness of it and you like cute American Tourist in London at Christmas vignettes, you’ll probably love it. I’ll give it four stars.
