Wow!! That ending captured my heart. I was not expecting this story to be so captivating and oh man was it spicy! These two know how to light the entire place on fire! That twist! Oh man.

Daphne is a dangerous woman which we learn from the beginning and she PROVES it. Her beauty and sexuality used to obtain everything she ever wanted. Never willingly and always taken from. She learned to tell when there was betrayals, lies, and always new they were coming because no one is loyal and everyone is willing to do what it takes to get there, to get answers. Including her. The most lethal of all. Gone to hell and back stronger than you've ever seen anyone.

He is a monster built just for her. Left her with half a heart, as one would say. Dangerous and is just as witty as her. Their history is a special one filled with passion, pain, deaths, blood, and a special spark.

This is a dark story! So please read warning. But wow is it an amazing one.

This book was excellent. The story was unique. There was so much action throughout as well.

Daphne and Giddeon are from two similar but different worlds. They meet during one of Giddeon's missions. They each have a strong loyalty to their own countries and own missions. Despite their pull to each other and the way they feel, they are deceitful and betray each other time and time again.

They met a few years ago. Daphne was sold at a young age. She is part of the Sekt as her family are founding members. Giddeon is on a mission to take out the man that has bought her and calls her sometimes to be there at his home. Giddeon finds her and saves her that day.

They work together not fully trusting each other to take down a club. Then they run but he betrays her.

They run into each other every once in a while on different missions. They continue to feel that pull to each other and that deep love. When they do meet up, they have some very steamy sex. Each time they betray each other, it seems a little worse.

Do not mistake this for a love story because it's not. Yes, they love each other yes they hook up but they are not together. They can't be together. Daphne's loyalty and commitment is to her country and her revenge only. She has no room for love and relationships. Giddeon originally felt that way but now seems to be trying anything to get his Petal.

There is sex clubs, sex trafficking, child sexual abuse, murder, cults, and lots of violence in this book.

Can't wait for book 2 to see what happens.

If you like dark romances then look no further than C. Lymari and the Sekten series books.

The Savage Kingdom is the first book in this series but you catch a glimpse at the characters in her book Falcon's Prey. The characters have depth and live in a world of depravity that most will never know. The author does include a warning at the beginning of the book for those that might not want to read it.

The storyline is a mixture of the main characters backstory and present time events that works well to build not only the relationship history between the characters but also the motives and situations that happened to create the environment/scene in which they are in currently. These characters have intense feelings and were made into who they are from horrific childhoods. Both are deadly, deceitful and don't believe in things such as kindness without ulterior motives.

This story does end on a cliffhanger that leaves you desperate for more. Waiting for the next book is going to be a battle against desperate anticipation and the need for answers.

If I could give this book all the stars I would. Savage Kingdom is a phenomenal, well written and unique story that took me by surprise and now I’m just addicted to it.

This is not a traditional romance, this story is dark romance to the core. A twisted but delicious read. A relationship between a man and a woman , who don’t have nothing left to lose but themselves in this life that they were force to grow in.

Daphne and Gideon are two of the most beautiful broken characters ever.

There is blood, pain, angst, obstacles, heartbreak, betrayal, lies but there is also lust and Oh so many hot moments. The sensual tension between Daphne and Gideon is just WOW!!!!

Savage Kingdom took me through this rollercoaster of emotions. The ending of this book literally left me in tears and now I’m desperate for the second installment .

Bravo Claudia Lymari, this book was PERFECTION!!!

I enjoyed everything about this book. Except for the poor editing. It makes it hard to read because, frequently, words are missing. Commas too. I can overlook poor editing as long as it doesn’t interfere with the story. Here it does, hence, the 4 stars. Still, read it. It’s fresh and interesting. Get an editor (if you have one then get a new one) and you will be golden. If English is your second language as I’ve considered, you need an editor who writes and reads English. Don’t be lazy. Every book I’ve read of yours had the same issue. Your readers deserve this.

Do you want to party with the dark and depraved? Then dive in and meet the Sekt.

Daphne, that girl is so broken yet so strong at the same time. Instantly I felt a bond with her. She’s a woman living in a man’s world and needs to prove herself time and time again even though she’s probably stronger than the lot of them put together.

I’ve been waiting to read more about Gideon since Falcon’s Prey and that guy gutted me. He is so much more than meets the eye and his vulnerable moments killed me.

C.Lymari has written a deliciously dark and depraved story, filled with all of the action and twists and turns we’ve come to expect from her. I was on the edge of my seat throughout, reading holding my breath seeing if these two were going to kill each other or finally get together!

This book won’t be for everyone. It has very dark scenes that are necessary to the story and not just for shock factor. Please read the trigger warning before going in.

I am obsessed with this new wood and can’t wait for Cruel Crown.
