A writer of history and true crime, Kevin M. Sullivan is the author of sixteen books, a former investigative journalist for both print and online media, and is a recognized authority on serial sex killer, Ted Bundy. Indeed, his "break out" book, The Bundy Murders: A Comprehensive History, published by McFarland in 2009, was the catalyst that brought him much attention in the true crime world, leading to appearances on numerous radio programs and contacts from documentarians both here in the United States and the United Kingdom. Portions of his biography of Ted Bundy also appear in the college textbook, Abnormal Psychology: Clinical Perspectives on Psychological Disorders, published by McGraw-Hill in November 2012. And while Sullivan has authored crime books on others killers, both the well-known and the obscure, his interest in Ted Bundy and this voluminous multi-state murder case, has continued and produced five additional works on Bundy, each featuring new and never before published information on the killer and the case; including new interviews from those who knew Bundy, or hunted him, or escaped his clutches as he was attempting to abduct and murder them. This now six volume set is, without question, the most substantial work ever produced on Theodore Robert Bundy.

The Encyclopedia of the Ted Bundy Murders is the fifth book in a series of Ted Bundy Books by Kevin Sullivan. It's a very easy to read book that lists the people involved in the Ted Bundy case in alphabetical order by last name. The best way to utilize these books is to read them in the order that they were written, but this book is also fine to read by itself. Kevin Sullivan has done a lot of research about everything relating to Ted Bundy and some of the information in his books has never been covered in any other book about Bundy before. I personally have read a lot of books about the Bundy case and I thought that I knew all that there was to know, but after reading Kevin Sullivan's books I have learned a great deal more. A lot of books tend to focus just on the killer but Sullivan has interviewed people who knew the victims of Ted Bundy. Every one of these young women was just starting their lives when they had the grave misfortune to cross paths with Ted Bundy. I really enjoy learning about who they were and my heart goes out to the family members and friends devastated by losing them. They all deserve to be remembered for the wonderful people that they were and not just as victims of a serial killer

...but the editing is atrocious! If you're a true follower of Bundy, you'll find many interesting tidbits here. Just beware of that editing!

This is a wonderful reference book when it comes to learning about the many people and places associated with Ted Bundy. From beginning to end, this encyclopedia highlights the victims, investigators, psychiatrists, judges, pertinent locations and more, that make up years of Ted’s murderous lifestyle. I highly recommend this book as a step by step preview of crucial persons and places along the way. I like that it is a quick read, but also very thorough and one I kee coming back to.

the PERFECT companion for quickly cross referencing every person (alive or dead) that was ever involved with Bundy directly or indirectly. The depth is outstanding and everyone is accounted for. I also suggest you read Mr. Sullivan's other books on Bundy but this is the companion you want to quickly realize who is speaking or who is who.

I really enjoyed this book. It should be a companion read to all your Bundy Books. Thank you for the detail and personalization of the victims and their sweet families. Something eats at me...how many more killings did he do that may never be discovered..how many families will never know?

If you are doing a doctoral on serial killer Ted Bundy this little book will be indispensable. It lists all the major players, victims, law enforcement officers, family members etc that played a part in Bundy's awful maneuvers. They are listed alphabetically. Therefore this is not an account.
If you want the story of his life you might shop elsewhere because there is not particular time line in this compilation of facts. Also, I can't comment on the accuracy of facts herein because I am not a Bundy scholar or part of law enforcement personnel. The 4 stars appear assuming all the information is correct.

A thorough compilation of Ted Bundy's life, travels, his victims and capture. The book contains numerous photographs, all helpful in telling this story. Heartbreaking to see the many young women unfortunate enough to cross paths with him. An excellent book.

I own all of Ken’s books in Bundy. This is exactly what it says. An encyclopedia which means if you wanted to find out any info on Bundy use this book. Has all the victims names and dates of anything you ever wanted to know.
