Guardians. Brothers. Alphas.

Affectionately referred to as, the twins, Jagger and Huntley aren’t related, but that’s the only thing the two alphas don’t have in common. Eerily identical, if it weren’t for the scar Jagger earned saving Huntley’s life as children, no one would be able to tell them apart. Together, there isn’t a challenge they won’t face. Breaking into a hellish laboratory where enemy scientists are conducting gruesome experiments is no different. Their mission is clear, save who they can and burn the rest, but when they come upon a locked door behind a barricade that looks months old, they know that whatever is inside, isn’t like anything they’ve faced yet.

Ripped from his mother’s arms and thrown into a cell as a child, Sitka hasn’t seen a living person in years. He sees their footsteps under the door when they slide in his food, but no one has dared face the crazed nephilim who can hop shadows—not after what he did to the last two who entered his cell. Still, his life is far from peaceful. Sitka can’t stop seeing dead people. They scream at him without rest, their voices angry and loud enough to make living a normal life impossible—even if he hadn’t spent most of it locked away. When the room to his door randomly bursts open, Sitka assumes the two men are there to finally kill him.

Huntley and Jagger knew something unusual was behind that door, but they didn’t expect their mate. He swings at them like a wrecking ball, making them realize what they had was just one half of the equation. Sitka completes them, but Sitka’s own angelic power is his worst enemy.

When strange things start to happen around the hotel, no one wants to blame the flighty nephilim who can jump shadows and talk to ghosts, but the list of suspects is short. And Sitka wasn’t the only victim rescued from the labs. As the reclusive wolf pack learns how to live with growing numbers, they can’t forget the danger looming over all their heads. A powerful force wants them all dead.

I am so thrilled about this third in the Nephillim series. Honestly I put off other books on my pile and started reading this.

Let me start with a comment about sex. This book has a lot of sex in it. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Now I've been a little jaded lately so I do tend to flip past those pages but the Author will rev your engines. There is no trigger warning needed for this book. The only dubious consent would be to my mind was upon meeting, the Nephillim was literally crawling all over the two rescuers/mates who managed to hold him off and kept it to just kissing.

This story picks up with the Twins. We learn more of their back story before they head off to destroy a Portal base and rescue any prisoners. Btw I loved the "rescue" green school bus. This is where they find their mate: his father is one of God's Archangels and Sitka as his son has heavenly powers which the bad guys (Portal) want to exploit.

So once the Destroy part of the mission is over the Pack - that's the good guys who are a bunch of shifters in this Pack to which the Twins belong - loads up the bus with the Rescues, the Twins take Sitka in a Hummer, and everyone drives on back to Hotel Payne where the rest of the Pack, I think ... 5 babies? 1 dog? 300 mice. 3 other Nephillim or is it 2? How many Humans? There're more shifters guarding everyone. What the heck is the Doctor? Is someone a flying squirrel?

I know there's gonna be a traitor sooner or later. There's mystery and love, laughter, danger, a whole lot of need for psychotherapy, and maybe a Reader should create a fashion Pinterest page for this Pack.

These people/shifters/angels/ghosts are gonna save the World. Uh huh. Right after the realization that not one of them even knows what a bathroom plunger is; Hallie knows but she damn well isn't the maid - calling Al the Maintenance guy!

See? Funny stuff there. Bathroom humor. I'm sick. But the book is lovely and I look forward to the last in the Series. 👍👍

I’ve read like 90% of Burrelli’s published works and I think this one just might be my all time favorite. Jagger and Huntley were pretty mysterious in the previous books in this series, so I didn’t really know what to expect from them, but from the first page I so adored their relationship. Little touches and glances in every scene truly showed their love for each other and I was so on board. So then I started thinking, well then, bringing in a third is just going to ruin this amazing dynamic. But then we met Sitka and I just loved him from his very first line. And the three together worked perfectly. Even with two of them having been in a relationship their whole lives, it still felt complete with all three and never felt like someone was left out.

The suspense and Portal business was incredibly intriguing this time around too. While I think it’s pretty obvious who the bad guy is, it didn’t detract from enjoyment. Pair that with Sitka’s incredibly cool and unique nephalim abilities, and this story was just intriguing and un-put-downable the entire time.

Lovers: Wolves of Royal Paynes is book 3 in the series and by far he best. Called the twins Jagger and Huntley have been together since they were boys relying and loving each other, keeping each other and their pack safe. On a mission against Portal they meet their mate. Sitka has been a prisoner of Portal since he was a child, after his mothers death he was all alone in his prison accept for the ghosts who have helped keep him alive. When Jagger and Huntley search for prisoners in a Portal lab they come across a small spit fire who completes them. With Lovers the back story behind what happen to their pack 5 years ago and what Portal is planning is revealed, and the battle to end Portal continues. With this book Kiki Burrelli has out done her self with the stories and characters she continues to create within her Wolves of World and I for one can not wait for the next book in the series, Outlaw.
I received this as an ARC for an honest review.

This is the third book in this series and it does not disappoint I'm satisfied with how the twins and their mate was depicted I really like how each couple has their own unique dynamic . Can't wait for Diesel 's turn to find his happiness although I have a feeling that his mate may still be alive I'm thinking that along with the mansion their Ex-leader sold his soul for I also think that Quin was part of that bargain . I think that way because he told Sitka that he had everything that he wanted I don't think that a mansion was the only thing that he got out of betraying his family and pack why not his own angle .

Welcome back to Royal Paynes. The pack is growing. The threat from the Portal is growing, too. There will be a betrayal, new love, the nephilim will grow more powerful, and the Pack dynamic will shine. I am so loving this series!
All my friends welcomed me back into their lives. This episode features the "twins", Huntley & Jagger. Their alpha bond isn't complete, until they rescue Sitka, another nephilim. Sitka talks to ghosts & shadow hops. Their relationship will be challenged. Danger threatens. And courage & strength will astound you. You will love this book!
I can't wait for the next & final book. You need to read the first two books in this series. And since they make an appearance here, reading the Wolves of Walker County saga is a wonderful idea.
This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.

5.0 out of 5 stars Three together

Another great addition to this series that is bringing it all to an explosive end! Sitka is the first nephilim to both know what he is and to have encountered Portal before. In fact, he has spent a large amount of time imprisoned by Portal after managing to kill many of their scientists and then being unable to kill him. When the team stumbles across him at one of the labs Jagger and Huntley quickly find themselves drawn to this mysterious and violent nephilim.

This time around the pack is more prepared for a nephilim. Jazz has become their leader in a way and he has no problem declaring that Sitka is safe, even as he acts a bit like a feral creature. Finding out that Sitka sees angry ghosts that only go away with contact to one of his alphas puts an odd spin on things but makes the trip very close quite quickly. Sitka needs time to learn again how to be out amongst people and how to have a family again. His whole life has been running and fighting. Jagger and Huntley don't try to change him; they are proud that Sitka can defend himself and take his own needs. They do love him though and help him flourish as Sitka relearns the outside world. As Sitka communicates more it also becomes clear he knows more about Portal's plan and just what could be awaiting the pack and the world.

A truly excellent third book that promises an excellent ending to this storyline in the fourth!

I love Sitka, he is my absolute favorite. His thoughts, the way he is written, everything.

That is why I forced myself to read up to the point when he and the Baby were safe. The bad guy was so obvious from the beginning that the fact nobody saw it was extremely enfuriating. I was never so angry at bad writing in my life. Everybody was acting so stupid it bordered on brain damage. Those Alphas treat their mates like little children while being completely useless and brainless, with a memory like an Alzheimers patient.

This is the 8th book I read of the author and I liked the others, but this left me so angry I wont finish the series. I couldnt even bring myself to read the little "happy chapter" at the end.

Ms Burrelli is one of my favorite authors so any of her books is a must read for me and this book is not exception. With a very complex plot, some angst and a lot of action and danger, any book that you pick on this series is outstanding with wonderful characters and many heartwarming moments but this book 3 is simply the best so far. Not only it has a very intense MMM love story, but also a twist in the plot that caught me immediately with some intrigue and mystery and a charismatic and wonderful character that stole my heart since his first apparition. Sitka is sweet and endearing and his story broke my heart and his inner strength, capacity of love and his hope and view of life, got to me and I cried and laughed a lot with his story. I enjoyed a lot Sitka, Jagger and Huntley's interactions and their love and support for each other even in difficult moments. A captivating story... The best book in the series so far!
