Minn Evans is a OCD personality and loves to organize. Ford Hayes is a builder and creator and totally disorganized! Ford comes from a loving family who keeps in contact. Minn comes from a dysfunctional family that she would rather they stay in there neck of the woods and she in hers!
Ford needs a person like Minn , but will they only have a working relationship because of their miscommunication and her family?
This book for me was something I would recommend to a friend if they are in between heavy books. I just wanted a crazy, lighthearted book and yes this book needed to be made more believable, but that’s what gave it the zany upbeat storyline!
I received a free advanced copy from NetGalley and these are my willingly given thoughts and opinions.
Margy
A sweet romantic storyline blended with sibling rivalry and complicated family dynamics. I liked living in this world for a while and am very glad I did.
Her latest penning tells the story of two upwardly mobile-wanting sisters, whose direction finding mechanisms need refurbishing by NASA engineers ….both want to shoot for the stars, but lack the firepower to leave their respective atmospheres.
Each sister has a skill set that could prove useful setting their own courses in life, but haven’t been able to aim properly, yet. Each is looking to find the “right place, at the right time”.
The sisters find themselves in competition…with each other...using their respective skills in not always successful or personally satisfying ways. While each sister is relatively main stream, their youthful hippie parents provide the drama parents are known to create for their younger offspring. The parents are relatively benign operating in the hippie world, but like a large black spec in vanilla milkshake, they direct attention away from the business at hand.
That’s when the “fun” begins. The sister’s pool their resources and engage their comrades to solve an “end of the world” problem. Quick thinking, resource pooling and deft problem solving save the day and brings about something each is looking for, but never occurred to them that it would actually find.
Love Is A Filing Cabinet is a satisfying read. Ms. Kern’s attention to character development paves the way. It is not hard to visualize what each character is dealing with as they finally achieve the success each has been looking for.
