In one short story, there are three lessons to be learned: (1) big, small, wide or long, the niceness is what matters (2) love others in spite of differences, and (3) a first date is so you can make friends. These are such great lessons - not only for children, but for all of us! One of the unique aspects of this book is that it’s main character, Jester, is a very real house rabbit who lives with his parents in England. Kids (and adults) can follow him on social media as described in the book. Such a happy book that I have read several times myself since it arrived. : )

Four out of five stars because the author wisely avoids iambic pentameter, but the resulting scansion is rather too loose for my taste. And the copy is larded with run-in words, which could've been cured with a bit more attention to the galley proof. These things do matter, even in childrens' lit.
