Claiming Her Forever: A Small Town Alpha Mountain Man Romance (Men of Rocky Mountain Book 1) Kindle Edition
I tried it, failed it, lived the scars of it.
When you find your wife tangled in the sheets with your best friend, that kind of betrayal changes a man.
So I chose isolation, retreating to the mountains where solitude became my sanctuary. I built a life of careful routine: managing my businesses, crafting custom furniture, and keeping everyone at a safe distance.
Simple. Controlled. Protected.
Then, Quinn Prescott moved into my downstairs rental, and my carefully constructed world began to crack. Her disarming smile and endless questions threatened to unravel years of meticulously built defenses.
Those innocent doe eyes hid secrets as deep as my own, and despite every instinct screaming at me to keep my distance, I found myself craving just one taste of her sweetness.
But one taste wasn't enough.
It became an all-consuming need to claim her, to make her mine.
Each touch was an addiction, every kiss ignited something I couldn't control.
Just as I began to believe I could risk opening my heart again, my past came thundering back, reminding me exactly why I'd lived by my rules for so long.
Only it was too late.
Quinn was carrying a secret of her own.
They say the past has a way of catching up with you.
What they don't tell you is that sometimes it collides with your present, leaving you to choose between the safety of solitude and the risk of everything you never knew you wanted.
Dive into this series, where gruff, possessive mountain men surrender to the women who claim their hearts. Claiming Her Forever (Book 1) kicks off this steamy series with a virgin heroine, forced proximity, and enough sexual tension to set the Rockies ablaze. Get ready for alpha males brought to their knees, small-town charm, and emotional journeys that prove love conquers all. Each book stands alone but builds an unforgettable world you won't want to leave.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 3, 2021Claiming Her Forever: An Alpha Mountain Man Romance by Alexis Winter is stupendous. It's completely over the top. Sawyer swore off of love after he was hurt by a divorce. Quinn had never known romantic love. She had taken care of her mother who was suffering from cancer for six years. She longed for peace, tranquility, and a life of her own. Quinn moved to Colorado, to live in a cabin owned by Sawyer. Once they met - BAM!! - things became exciting, very exciting, confusing, and oh so complicated. Poor, poor Sawyer knew what he wanted but not quite how to get it and the same could be said of Quinn. He may have been an alpha but again he seemed lost about how to really be an alpha. Quinn was more confused every day by his actions and would have loved to strangle him many times. I loved this story from start to finish and couldn't put it down until I reached the happy ever after.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 28, 2021Books like this are my very, very guilty pleasure. I didn’t even intend to write a review but this book was just so well-written that I felt that I had to. The author did an incredible job in crafting the characters in the limited space in which she had to craft them. The plot itself is not original, nor the ideas within. Quinn, an innocent and beautiful woman, falls in love with the brooding mountain man who has a painful past. I was just impressed with the execution, the word flow, the flirting, the banter. I enjoyed the sense of family that Quinn experienced from the women in the mountain town—which, by the way, is not at all realistic. How is it that Quinn all of a sudden had 4 friends that came out of nowhere? So jealous she made friends that easily.
I actually felt as though Sawyer was more realistic than in most romance novels. He wasn’t perfect, he kept making mistakes. And Quinn (who is basically perfect) always forgives him. The tempo, the pacing of the book was just wonderful. It kept my attention, which is what I was looking for.
For any romance readers out there, definitely check out Alexis Winter’s Claiming Her Forever and the series surrounding it. She is a great writer.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 25, 2021I absolutely adore Alexis Winter's books!!! One of the first things I do before I download an ebook is to look at the reviews. There was this one review that was dumping on this book, but after reading the book myself, it really only irritated me.
If you don't care for a certain book, I don't understand why people can't just say " yeah, it wasn't for me." Instead they break the book down to their own cynical views. Whatever happened to that old saying, 'if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all!'
Some authors really put their heart and souls into their books, like it's apart of them. So, I just feel like if you have something negative to say, maybe email the author directly, instead of putting it out there to sway other people's decisions. It could really cost the author. 😫
Just to be clear I only leave a review on a book that I throughly loved or adored! Thanks Alexis Winter for the many great reads, I absolutely love your stories!!!❤🤣💜🥰

Quinn is reeling from her mother's recent loss to her battle with cancer. She sells everything and decides to rent a cabin in Colorado for 3 months. While there, Quinn plans to finally write a book she's thought about for years. Her landlord Sawyer is divorced with a story of heartbreak. Sawyer's ex-wife Justine cheated on him with his best friend, he caught them in the bed in his home no less, and what followed was the two running off together and Justine telling Sawyer he wasn't the father to the baby she was pregnant with at the time. Back to Quinn and Sawyer, at first meet the fireworks are off the charts and they do the flustered bit when they're around one another before Sawyer makes the moves that gets them out of their minds and into reality. And it's scorching hot when they do.
After that, Sawyer and Quinn don't officially label what they have going on between them but she's living with him instead of in her downstairs apartment, they're going on dates, and spending time together with his friends and their families. And sex, plenty of that in the relationship. Sawyer is hot and cold and before the 3 months are up, they're arguing like an old couple, both of them having fallen hard and fast. But Sawyer doesn't open up about his past which comes a calling when Justine shows back up claiming her daughter is actually Sawyer's and with talk of a family between them.
Sawyer, who's closed off, shuts Quinn out and moves Justine in, although he makes sure to explicitly tell Justine they're not together. All of this with very little information for Quinn as to what the heck just happened. Eventually Quinn leaves to go back to Idaho despite having another 16 days left on her rental. Sawyer gets the nerve behind him to tell Justine that he's in love with Quinn and demands that she tell him the truth about the paternity of her little girl. Sawyer isn't the father but before he runs off to get Quinn back, he tracks down Tanner, the ex-friend so that he can take care of Justine and their child. After playing the hero, Sawyer goes to get his girl with some cheesy feel good lines thrown in for good measure.
The book glosses over much and doesn't get too deep. Both Sawyer and Quinn share their pasts and their wounds but it still felt surface level for some reason to me. The parts where Sawyer has Justine living with him was odd, really no reason was given or maybe I missed it. But for how quickly things happened toward the middle and end of the book, it starts really slowly. Several times before the book got going, I considered pausing to read the book summary to recall what the story was supposed to be about. I will say that I'm glad Quinn opened herself up to Sawyer about her feelings for him, that part was at least refreshing.
In the end, the story was cute but I didn't quite buy in.

5.0 out of 5 stars WHAT A ROLLER COASTER RIDE!!
I could rate this 1000/10!!!
Yall might think this is just a typical runaway girl falling in love. But no, you got it wrong.
Wow. This is just too good!
First of all, the plot it freaking good! You literally will not be able to put you phone, book or wherever you are reading this from.
Second, the chemistry is just unbelievable!!! I feel like they are soulmates in real life.
Third, damn that spicy! Not like other books, this book has the perfect amount of spice, sometimes it burns, but baby it burns good!

5.0 out of 5 stars Panty twisting fun read
Wow what a wonderful read. Had me an absolute wreck throughout the whole book. Just loved reading how the two main characters develop. Sawyer is a true alpha male, extremely rugged and hard. Nothing soft about him. Ooh la la. Quinn is sweet and innocent. Somewhat heavy sexy but not overly erotic. A quick, easy read that keeps you enthralled and entertained.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mountain Love ❤️ 🔥
He's a broken man, destroyed when he went home and walked in on his pregnant wife and best friend in their bed and then told the baby wasn't his.
Now, 2 years after his divorce, he has locked away his heart and never gone near a woman since.
She's 27, lost her mum to cancer, sold up and renting the lower floor of his cabin for 3 months.
Instantly attracted to each other, but he tries to get away from her until he can't anymore.
They end up together 🔥🔥🔥 but just when things are going great, his ex shows up and tells everyone she's back because she loves him and the child is his.
Everything turns to chaos.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book.
It has romance, steam 🔥 is not all angst, which I hate.
It has funny moments and is well written. No unnecessary dialogue.
Can't wait to now go read book 2.
