A Road Trip to Remember Kindle Edition
After agreeing to enter the New Life Assisted-Living Community outside of Boston, Agatha “Aggie” Robard talks her devoted, serious granddaughter, Blythe, into driving her to Florida, stopping to see old college friends along the way. She particularly needs to speak to Donovan Bailey, the man she’d thought she would marry right after graduating from college. By asking Blythe to go with her, Aggie is hoping to prove to her that life should be about having fun too. Their road trip is a great idea for both of them as long as Aggie’s son and his wife, Blythe’s difficult stepmother, don’t find out.
While the rest of the family is away on vacation, Aggie and Blythe set off on their secret adventure. All goes well until Aggie falls while dancing on the beach with Donovan, breaking a bone in her leg. Then Blythe’s father is seriously injured in an automobile accident. Blythe and Logan Pierce, Donovan’s young assistant, do their best to step in for them at The Robard Company working together, fighting the attraction they feel for one another.
The road trip brings about happy memories, surprises, and love as Aggie and Blythe meet others and discover new possibilities for everything they’ve ever wanted.

About the author

Judith Keim, A USA Today Best-Selling Author, is a hybrid author who both has a publisher and self-publishes. Ms. Keim writes heart-warming novels about women who face unexpected challenges, meet them with strength, and find love and happiness along the way, stories with heart. Her best-selling books are based, in part, on many of the places she's lived or visited and on the interesting people she's met, creating believable characters and realistic settings her many loyal readers love.
She enjoyed her childhood and young-adult years in Elmira, New York, and now makes her home in Boise, Idaho, with her husband and their adorable dachshund, Wally, and other members of her family.
While growing up, she loved the idea of writing stories from a young age. Books were always present, being read, ready to go back to the library, or about to be discovered. All in her family shared information from the books in general conversation, giving them a wealth of knowledge and vivid imaginations.
Ms. Keim loves to hear from her readers and appreciates their enthusiasm for her stories.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 10, 2021I have read a number of Judith Keim's books and have never been disappointed. Her characters are well developed and deal with real-life situations. This story is an adventure you won't soon forget!
This delightful story is about Aggie and Blyth, her grandmother, and the most memorablel road trip they took from Boston, all the way to Florida, stopping along the way visiting Blyth's friends from her college years. Blyth is a widow and recently moved to an assisted living facility at the insistance of her daughter in-law and her son, who eventually supported his wife in that decision. Aggie is getting ready to graduate from college and take over the family business from her grandmother, and also just broke up with her boyfriend. The proposed trip sounds like just what they both need and it surely turned out that way.
It was spring break and Blyth's son, who is Aggie's father, was taking his family on a trip to Hawaii and had no idea his mother and daughter planned the road trip to Florida so it was kept a secret. It truly turned out to an adventure that both women would remember for their rest of their lives. Both had experiences that altered the rest of their lives.
This is a charming story that was difficult to put down since I think most readers would feel they were riding right along with Blyth and Addie as they expeirenced the adventure of a life-time!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 21, 2021Ms. Keim’s story of Grandmother Agatha “Aggie” Robard and granddaughter Blythe brings back so many memories of the time I spent with my grandmother. Aggie’s son Brad and his second wife Constance are headed to Hawaii with their two boys while Blythe is at Cornell in her final semester. When Aggie asks Blythe to drive her to Florida and by the way don’t tell Brad an adventure for both is on the horizon. First stop Montclair, NJ next old friend in North Carolina and finally Seaside Cottage on the Gulf side of Florida. Then the fun begins, Aggie was once in love with Donovan Bailey but life has changes and Aggie married Brad’s father and had many years of happiness. Now Aggie with encouragement from her friends has looked up Donovan and plans to see him once again. The adventure brings Logan Pierce who is Donovan’s assistant into Aggie and Blythe life and her son would have never known about this trip if Aggie hadn’t fallen on the beach while dancing and breaking her leg. So many things occur, Brad is involved in a car accident and Robard Company becomes a part of Logan and Blythe’s life and this is a great spring time read.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 7, 2023In a family that works and plays together, Blyth--the oldest granddaughter--is graduating from college and primed to take over the family business as her grandmother retires. Driving her grandmother, Aggie, on a road trip to Florida, she meets a young man with whom she becomes quite taken. Plagued by a series of surprises, both hood and bad, she has to take on many family issues causing her interests to refocus. In her new job she quickly accepts the fact that she truly loves the young man, but because of "family rules" they can never be together. Trying really hard to deny this causes all all kinds of twists that make for a quite lovely story. As you read you will quickly realize that even with a very good and lucrative job, life does throw curve balls

- Reviewed in the United States on April 30, 2021I absolutely loved A Road trip To Remember. Aggie, and her Granddaughter Blythe set out on a road trip. The stops along the way, are surprising and delightful. The stay at Seashell Cottage, included in this book is always a treat. Aggie is in her 70’s, and a real lively character. The food, the wine, and the surroundings will make you want to visit. I savored each page, and didn’t want it to end. Thank you Judith, for another lovely read.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 13, 2022This is a wonderful story about a grandmother and grand daughter going on a road trip. They are keeping it secret from their family. Grandmother is going to Florida to see the man she had supposedly was to marry after graduating college. He having left to see family and never came back. It was a total misunderstanding. She then fell in love and married some one else. Now a widow, she want to settle things with her first love. Her granddaughter also finds love . In this book you also catch up with the people from The Salty Key Inn. Love this book!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 6, 2023I bought it because a road trio was in the title. A grand mother and grand daughter take a road trip together. But the book was mainly about what happened when they reached their destination. It had a good variety of things going on to make the book interesting.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 28, 2023Easy reading with an interesting story that keeps your attention. Not the best but not the worst either. Good relaxing read before bed.
