Just wonderful ideas for great meals. Even though I'm not a vegetarian, I enjoy mostly vegetarian meals. Just one note however. The Kindle for PC download that I received was a little hard to read. All of the recipies had the ingredients listed, but the amounts to the left of the item were cut off. This did not stop me from making the recipies though. I always add ingredients to my taste anyway. It was the overall ideas that I liked and I added the things I wanted, in the amounts I wanted. Thanks!

Great photography! The recipes are simple and easy to follow. Some of the recipes are similar to ones I already have - then again I have a MOUNTAIN of recipes. Some are very new. You won't go wrong with this collection.

Since the left edges of the ingredient lists are lopped off on my Kindle Fire (changing font size does not help) it's difficult to actually make the recipes. I have a kitchen scale so I can weigh dry ingredients and I have metric measurements on my liquid measuring cups. I can also make assumptions based on whether the measurement is singluar or plural and I have a broad enough cooking background to make reasonable guesses on small quantities of seasonings. For the newer cook, however, or for someone not wishing to do the extra work it will be next to impossible to actually create these dishes.

Photography is lovely and the 2 recipes I've tried were good. I did like the notations at the recipe title letting me know which were vegan, lacto, etc. Lots of good ideas here!

When this book was downloaded on my Kindle the left margin was off the reading area which made the quantity numbers of ingredients partially disappear. I suppose I could have corrected this problem but my Kindle was brand new and I wasn't familiar with the troubleshooting aspects. I might try to download it again and see if I could fix the margijns if it's offered.

After loving Slow Cooker 101 by this author, I am disappointed with the formatting disaster which has befallen Vegetarian 101 (at least on my Kindle and on Kindle for the PC). The left margin cuts off 1-5 characters of every line, starting with the Table of Contents and continuing through all the recipes. Sure you can read the names of most ingredients, but you're left in the dark as to quantities.
Interestingly enough, I 'copied' an ingredient list to show an example of the missing quantities, but when I 'pasted' it to include in this review, the quantities miraculously pasted here -- what the heck??
Hope there's an update to fix it soon. Otherwise, the workaround is to use the 'copy' function and then paste it elsewhere so you can read the quantities. But I only tested that option on 2 recipes, so who knows if it would work on all of them.
So back to hoping for an update to resolve the problem. Once I see the update, I anticipate I'll be able to update the rating....but will have to wait and see.
*Edit to add: I reported it to Amazon, so at least they are aware.

I almost didn't bother to download this ebook after reading the reviews that it has readability flaws. I also found that the left edge of the ingredients were chopped off but I changed my font size to a size larger and it is now completely readable. Lots of good looking recipes in this book. Can't wait to try them out.
