Chef Diego has big dreams. He wants to buy and operate a food truck. He’s tried a couple of ventures already and failed, so no one in his family takes him seriously—except his grandmother who has been passing him her recipes for empanadas for years. At Bangers, his claim to fame is the restaurant’s famous tater tots. He was focused on his dream until a stunning woman comes into the bar one night. Anna is waitress Charlie’s sister and she’s as starstruck by Diego as he is with her. They’re drawn together like iron and a magnet. There’s just one little thing… Anna has recently left her cheating husband. And then she found out she’s pregnant. That’s quite a bit for any woman to ask a man to accept, but Diego is ready and willing to help Anna raise her little one. When he sees The One, he’s not going to let her go. But what about his big dream?
As I said, this is my favorite Bangers Tavern so far. I love how Anna and Diego know their hearts from the beginning and do everything they can to overcome the bumps in their road to happiness. So fun to read how the bunch at Bangers interact. If I had Bangers in my neighborhood, I’d be a regular! Now, Ms. Stone, how long until we have Jojo and Lana’s story??
