Going Higher with God in Prayer: Cultivating a Lifelong Dialogue Kindle Edition
Learning how to pray is one of the greatest challenges in a Christian's life. A.W. Tozer pointed out that the Church's greatest curse is unanswered prayer, and that many people do not seem bothered by that. Maybe they don't understand what answered prayer is all about. Tozer outlines this as only he can, describing the kind of prayer God answers and the kind of prayer that leaves Him silent. Ultimately, you have to ask yourself: are my prayers today more powerful and effective than they were a year ago? Our good Father wants them to be!
The book opens with Jacob's Ladder and its theme of ascending into God's very presence. What better place to begin dialoging with God? Only He can teach us what is on His heart, what His will is, and what our part in it could be.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2025I loved reading this book. It really sheds light on subjects of importance. It teaches so well that we are going to heaven, not because of our own goodness, but by the goodness of Another (Jesus Christ). We must not forget that truth.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 25, 2025Best book on prayer I have found and everyone should have copy in their library.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 9, 2024AW Tozer was one of the greats! With everything going on in our world today we need to know better how to touch base with God! It’s going to get worse before Jesus steps out on a cloud to call His children home; we need to get back to basics NOW in our prayer life. I highly recommend this book as a help!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 19, 2023His voice has been silenced for sixty years, yet James Snyder continues to make sure we are blessed by the words and thoughts of Tozer. This book on prayer is no different, and one I would quickly put in the top-five recommended books on prayer.
Tozer speaks of what he practices. Better, he speaks of whom He knows. I’d rather hear from a man/woman who practices an active prayer life, than one who has just a theory. This book is Tozer speaking of what prayer has meant to him, and how all of us can draw closer to God through personal prayer.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 27, 2024Full of wisdom and insight on prayer, worship and our relationship with God! Tozer was a man of God and a man of prayer.
