Never Knew I Needed You (Better Man Series Book 2) Kindle Edition
Money and women.
Living by the motto ‘It ain’t tricking if you got it,’ he’s known for splurging on beautiful women. Fly by flings were all he needed until Leila gave him a glimpse of something he’s never had.
Leila is looking for a love like the one her best friend Harper found, but she’s in no rush to find it. She’s heard of Desmend’s salacious reputation and is curious, but tucks those desires away when he needs her professionally.
Leila comes to help Desmend with his daughter, but she ends up becoming so much more, and it changes his idea of what he thought he wanted and needed. When the fear of losing control and ghosts from the past intervene, he must decide what matters most. Control or companionship?
**Desmend and Leila were introduced in I Thought I Knew.

Desmend was seriously funny to me. He was a great dad, and an honest thug who got around, lol. It was cute to see him tripped up where Leila was concerned. He didn't know how to handle falling for her, so he mishandled her. Typical, but it was so good. It was written well, the plot twisted nicely and him and Leila were so sexy. He didn't have to embarrass her in that restaurant though, lol.
Leila was upfront about what she wanted. She was also about her business and her money. I loved that about her. She knew she made a mistake going there with Desmend but once it was too late, it was too late. She loved on that little baby, and stood up for herself. I loved that she didn't stop dating, and went about her business instead of waiting.
Good story. I didn't realize I liked nanny romance until this and Where Love Blooms.
This was a really good story. It had a little mystery drama that kept me on edge for a bit. Leila and Desmend had a sweet thing going on and they were nastyyy together. I'd recommend this book. Very few errors, but overall good.

Desmend’s comebacks are A1 and kept me laughing. I like how this author meshed comedy, romance, overcoming and suspense to provide a page turner.
My one question: How did Wyatt keep finding ol’ girl? …
If you haven’t read it or are juggling the thought, cop it and get into it! You won’t regret it.
