About the Author

Michael Anderle is the internationally bestselling author of more than forty urban fantasy and science fiction novels, including the Kutherian Gambit, Opus X, Federal Histories, and Exceptional S. Beaufont series. He is also coauthor of many more under his company, LMBPN Publishing, which has sold over 3 million books.

Narrator Rebecca Mitchell is a performance artist and classically trained vocalist, as well as a professional host, emcee, and personality. Her natural flare for the dramatic, coupled with her love of being in the studio, brought her to the world of narrating in 2013. Her natural, mellifluous style reveals her rich alto training, love of storytelling, and ease in front of a microphone. Though a longtime New Englander, Rebecca Mitchell was born and raised in the Midwest. The myriad accents and dialects from her various homes, as well as those from her extensive travels, find their way into the characters she portrays. A collector of personality traits, idiosyncrasies, vocal styles, and personal histories, Rebecca infuses her narration with such elements, deepening the richness of her work.

Martha Carr is a bestselling author and journalist living in Austin, Texas, with her two rescue dogs and an oversized garden. She is coauthor, with Michael Anderle, of many books, including the Leira Chronicles, Case Files of an Urban Witch series, and Academy of Necessary Magic series.

Congratulations to Martha Carr and Michael Anderle for this amazing series. It’s extremely hard to find such interesting and exciting authors who not only write intelligently but also provide top rated plots, characters and excitement in the stories. I’m really looking forward to the next book.

Fran and her friends are trying to figure out a new power source so they can free the Source, meanwhile Josie, Julia and the coven are working on taking out Phillips. The Evermores, meanwhile are trying to figure out how to get the Source back to Earth. Lots of ends to tie up, but it's starting to come together. I can't wait for the next book to see what happens.

A lot happens in this tale! The evermores make peace with the rock people, Fran helps build a machine to power the kemanas, Julia's team defeats Howard, but I have no idea where all that power went? The prophecy really worked in an unexpected way! Lots of fun! Look forward to the next story!

There are several areas where the author needs a better understanding of how to operate a motorcycle and its controls.

Next, the continued use of “estate agent” where it is more appropriate to use “real estate agent.”

I hope the publisher goes back and revisits published work to correct mistakes in their IP catalog.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Truly Awesome Read . . .

So much has happened in this book!

While Fran and her friends do everything possible to build a new power source, the large mirror in their Basement Office breaks, releasing the troublemakers that they had captured at the very beginning of their Company's startup.

Then the FBI contact them, with a fault in the traps that Mana Wave had designed, and sold to them.

Not only that, but Cam is suddenly unavailable, and so Fran loses his support, just when she needs it the most.

Between all of this, plus having to find more office and factory space, then helping to sort out the prophecies that Cam has been collecting, whil also dealing with all the craziness of finally launching their new FDS gaming system, Fran really doesn't have a minute to spare for anything else - and yet, circumstances appear to be making sure that she really has to deal with even more!

I barely took a breath as I read this book. It was fast and furious, funny and frustrating and, most of all, it was the best, so far, in this series.

This was entertainment at it's best, and there wasn't a moment that I could say that it was even a little bit ordinary!

This book really was fun - but also a bit scary, too, with Howard planning to start his takeover bid for the two worlds of Earth, and Oriceran!

Now, I do have to say, that all of the above is a big problem for me!

It is a continuous problem, every time that I review the books in this series - and, even more so, with this particular book!

You see, there's just so MUCH to choose from, and to talk about, that I always seem to miss out a huge portion of the many, and varied, storylines within the covers, to be able to point them all out to you!

But this, too, is really a bonus for ANY reader who feels drawn to this series, as there are so many characters to love, or hate, that the books simply have something for absolutely EVERYONE - and I'm totally loving it! 🤣

So, with book six finished, it's time to turn to book seven - although, as is very usual, for me, by now, I've read on until Silly O'Clock in the morning again - which means I'll need to grab some shuteye, before starting this next book, which is titled: 'The Magic Mirror'!

So, once I've slept, a little, I'll start on it, and then I'll catch you on the flip side, to let you know what I think of it all!

I purchased this book as part of a Boxed Set but, as I believe that every separate book deserves it's own review, this is what I'm doing!
