About the Author
Narrator Rebecca Mitchell is a performance artist and classically trained vocalist, as well as a professional host, emcee, and personality. Her natural flare for the dramatic, coupled with her love of being in the studio, brought her to the world of narrating in 2013. Her natural, mellifluous style reveals her rich alto training, love of storytelling, and ease in front of a microphone. Though a longtime New Englander, Rebecca Mitchell was born and raised in the Midwest. The myriad accents and dialects from her various homes, as well as those from her extensive travels, find their way into the characters she portrays. A collector of personality traits, idiosyncrasies, vocal styles, and personal histories, Rebecca infuses her narration with such elements, deepening the richness of her work.
Martha Carr is a bestselling author and journalist living in Austin, Texas, with her two rescue dogs and an oversized garden. She is coauthor, with Michael Anderle, of many books, including the Leira Chronicles, Case Files of an Urban Witch series, and Academy of Necessary Magic series.

About the authors
Okay, I'm a late bloomer who's a big DC comics fan and spent my childhood summers on the Jersey shore in the U.S. but have had a weird wanderlust to live in different parts of America ever since. That's enough about me. Need to feel inspired today? Looking for something to make you root for an ordinary hero? I'm all about that in everything I write.
I love a good tale that makes me wonder about things and I love a story even more that leaves me feeling inspired or like I'm capable of doing more than I realized. That's my goal with everything I've ever written. Some of the stories I tell involve twisting, turning thrillers and others have a lot of magic.
There's something to be said for getting lost in another world and coming out the other side feeling a little better about yourself or the possibilities in front of you. That's basically the best part of life in a nutshell, no matter what kind of story I'm setting out to tell.
Thank you for checking out my stories! There's more at www.marthacarr.com.
Join us on Facebook to hear about new books, giveaways, an idea rolling around about a universe-wide scavenger hunt at the end of the year and more. If you like the series please leave a review and send me a note. More adventures to follow - and thanks for sticking with me.
Michael Anderle (ok, weird talking about myself in the 3rd person) (1967-Hopefully a long time from NOW) was born in Houston, Tx. A very curious child, he got into trouble - a lot. What to do with an inquisitive mind when he was grounded? Read!
Ok, done with all of that 3rd person stuff.
In the first 20 years, I mostly read Science Fiction and Fantasy. In the last 10 years I have enjoyed Urban Fantasy and Military Fiction. With this background, I've been blessed with creating The Kurtherian Gambit series, a well-selling, and fan loved, collection of stories.
The fans have propelled these stories beyond my wildest imagination and they should get all of the credit for sharing with friends, family and occasionally the random person on the street. They are fantastic!

While Fran and her friends do everything possible to build a new power source, the large mirror in their Basement Office breaks, releasing the troublemakers that they had captured at the very beginning of their Company's startup.
Then the FBI contact them, with a fault in the traps that Mana Wave had designed, and sold to them.
Not only that, but Cam is suddenly unavailable, and so Fran loses his support, just when she needs it the most.
Between all of this, plus having to find more office and factory space, then helping to sort out the prophecies that Cam has been collecting, whil also dealing with all the craziness of finally launching their new FDS gaming system, Fran really doesn't have a minute to spare for anything else - and yet, circumstances appear to be making sure that she really has to deal with even more!
I barely took a breath as I read this book. It was fast and furious, funny and frustrating and, most of all, it was the best, so far, in this series.
This was entertainment at it's best, and there wasn't a moment that I could say that it was even a little bit ordinary!
This book really was fun - but also a bit scary, too, with Howard planning to start his takeover bid for the two worlds of Earth, and Oriceran!
Now, I do have to say, that all of the above is a big problem for me!
It is a continuous problem, every time that I review the books in this series - and, even more so, with this particular book!
You see, there's just so MUCH to choose from, and to talk about, that I always seem to miss out a huge portion of the many, and varied, storylines within the covers, to be able to point them all out to you!
But this, too, is really a bonus for ANY reader who feels drawn to this series, as there are so many characters to love, or hate, that the books simply have something for absolutely EVERYONE - and I'm totally loving it! 🤣
So, with book six finished, it's time to turn to book seven - although, as is very usual, for me, by now, I've read on until Silly O'Clock in the morning again - which means I'll need to grab some shuteye, before starting this next book, which is titled: 'The Magic Mirror'!
So, once I've slept, a little, I'll start on it, and then I'll catch you on the flip side, to let you know what I think of it all!

I purchased this book as part of a Boxed Set but, as I believe that every separate book deserves it's own review, this is what I'm doing!
