Determined to get to the bottom of it, Aubrey and Vincent set out to solve the mystery. But will the cat get the cream?

I was born in London and spent my teenaged years in Hertfordshire where I spent large amounts of time reading novels, watching day time television programmes which seemed to involve middle-class women visiting each other's houses, and avoiding school. Failing to gain any qualifications in Science whatsoever, the dream of being a forensic scientist collided with reality when a careers teacher suggested that I might like to work in a department store. I don't think she meant Harrods. Later studying Law, I decided to teach rather than go into practice and spent many years working as a college lecturer teaching mainly Criminal Law to adults and young people.

One of the key protagonists in Street Cat Blues is a rescue cat called Aubrey. I was asked recently whether there was a real Aubrey and, if so, how he had come to be named. The answer is yes, there was a real Aubrey and he was given his name because my husband, John, was reading John Aubrey’s Brief Lives at the time. Aubrey always said he was grateful not to have been called Brief.

Aubrey came from a rescue centre and, just like his namesake in the book, was an inmate for longer than any of the other cats. He had been found wandering the streets and picked up by a helpful stranger, although once we got to know him we suspected that he was found before he was lost. Wherever he had been, he had certainly been well looked after. From the very first, he was affectionate and loving although it would be true to say that he never missed a food opportunity. The idea for the book came from John observing one day after watching Aubrey strolling about the garden, 'that cat always looks as though he's got a bit of admin to sort out'. Or, possibly, a crime to solve.

I live on the south coast with my husband John and cat Archie. When not writing, I enjoy crosswords, reading crime fiction, walking by the sea, and drinking wine. Not necessarily in that order.

Totally enjoyed this cat noir mystery! Great storyline and characters. Of course, my favorite characters are Aubrey and Vincent. But I noticed a very big no-no was made in this story. It was the part where one of the characters was feeding the cats chocolate. That is definitely a huge no-no!!! Chocolate is poisonous to cats!!!!!!!!! Hopefully readers will realize this and not feed chocolate to their cats. Otherwise, this was a fascinating and fantastic Cat Noir mystery!!!

The Goodman finds out so much happens at the Seton Manor then they bargain for on this family trip. The Pelham family have so many secrets and mysteries with murder, with witty comments from Aubrey and Vincent going places human can see or travel like these two meows can. I love reading about this family and all that happens this novel is exciting, entertaining, and delightful to read. It has a great finish to the ending I really enjoyed.

Summer Cat Blues brings the main characters, Molly, Jeremy and Carlos, and their feline’s Aubrey and VIncent to Seaton Manor, a renovated estate turned into a vacation resort for some R&R. Unfortunately, there is no rest for this group. Don’t worry, this is not a lighthearted story, there is a great mystery (or two) to be uncovered. The author pulled me in and kept me entertained from beginning to end. Highly recommend this entertaining read.

This is a cute mystery story that I enjoyed reading. This is a new authror for me which I enjoyed her imagination and her attentio to details that made her story come to life. This is a well written story that has characters that are creative and connectable. I enjoyed what they added to the story. A fast paced mystery that is hard to put down and engaging. There is great growth throughout the story of the plot as well as the characters. A story of a missing child and a body turned up in a pool. You do not want to miss what happens in this story. I highly recommend this book.

There was more time away from the cats in this one but plenty spent with Carlos and his adopted family, and enough menace from the baddies to chill a bit. I love this series, which is not as cute as the titles would imply – a hefty helping of reality for an apparently cosy book.

A gem of a mystery. Packed with fascinating characters, family strife, and cats. what's not to love? In a setting worthy of Midsummer Murders this plot has enough twists and turns to satisfy any Marple fan. Full of warmth and humour, with an unexpected edge, I devoured this book in record time
