BRAVO!! The book is magnificent. You look into the eyes of so many critical mistakes in corporate life, and you stare them down with a stunning form of connectivity, compassion, and human caring. This work should turn tattered from use in the hands of every executive in the world.

Danna understands how people are suffering in the workplace. It is clear in the writings in her book. She advises leadership on self-reflection and how to stay on the right track, how to minimize the drama and to embrace inspirational leadership. You can’t be a leader if your ego is in the way. She reminds us that leaders need to suspend their ego and maximize the individual strengths on their team. Easy, right? Why is this not happening, then? My fear is that the leaders who should be reading this book will feel they don’t need to read a book like this. This is the core of the problem and why cultures remain stuck in the same. She makes me want to be the change maker!!!

Now more than ever, workplace culture is the beginning, and end, of every company’s recruitment and retention efforts. The pyramid has turned upside down: employees dictate their needs and desires to management and management is expected to respond in a servant leadership role. This only works when egos are set aside, and conflict minimized, when everyone is offered the opportunity to be their authentic selves with a sense of personal worth. Leaders who care about the collective worth of the organization and the role each person plays in its success should be reading this book, using it as a roadmap for this New World of Business.

The struggle is real and Danna helps identify those issues in the workplace to help people overcome. Titles are just made up labels to ensure who’s in charge but that is not necessarily factual. Learning to negotiate and navigate the various personalities and power plays in the workplace is the essence of Danna’s book. Reading this book and then putting into action her knowledge may just change your life and those you care about!
