Readers are loving the second installment of The Blood Sisters series!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "Kagan has a way of drawing you in from the very first page and then leaving you hanging at the edge of a cliff with her very last words. [T]hese characters ... are written so well and spring to life from the pages..." – Netgalley Reviewer
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "I can't believe that Roberta left me hanging-again!! Just when I thought all my questions would be answered, more came up. I don't like to give spoilers in my reviews. Let's just say that Roberta talked about all the blood sisters, but there were a couple of things that surprised me when it shouldn't have. Love her books!!" – Netgalley Reviewer
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "The book will have readers up for nights to see what happens next and ruminating about the atrocities depicted. I, for one, anxiously await book #3 in this series to see how this cliffhanger is resolved." – Netgalley Reviewer
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "The heart-wrenching second part of this series will capture your heart ... The harsh realities of life for these young women will leave you feeling hope, fear, grief, and elation for them. Highly recommended for readers of historical fiction centering around World War 2." – Netgalley Reviewer
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "Thrilling, haunting and chilling. I can’t wait for the next parts" – Netgalley Reviewer

About the author

I am an USA Today Best Selling Author of Historical Jewish Fiction mainly set during World War 2. My father was Romany and my mother was Jewish, When I was very young I learned about the Holocaust. I couldn't understand how something like this could happen. So, I began to research and learn more. I met with survivors. I even met with children and grandchildren of SS officers. But I still had no answers. I cannot say that I have all of the answers to all of my questions even now. But what I do know is that soon all of the survivors will be gone. Their message must be remembered, the sacrifices that they made must not be forgotten. And so I humbly and with the utmost humility I try to tell their stories. It is painful, but I must convey the darkness and horror of the time, However, I also want the world to know and celebrate the unsung heroes. Because there were many ordinary people who acted in heroic ways. I realize that writing these books is a great responsibility. I pray every day that I am able to do this correctly. I am trying to reach out and touch many people, not with the message of the horrors but with the promise of hope. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for considering my work. It is an honor that I never take lightly.
I send you many blessings, Roberta

- Reviewed in the United States on January 31, 2025I am learning so much about the holocaust.By reading roberta kagan's great books. She has a knack for describing individuals and events so precisely. Sometimes I feel like I am there with these people, and I can actually feel their feelings.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 21, 2024The first book felt more like a young adult book. This one definitely didn’t feel that way and in fact, in some ways it almost feels like it was written by a different author. The storyline definitely got darker and more disturbing to read and the horrors of the Nazi regime revealed.
It is truly heartbreaking in many ways. There are some parts of the storyline that bother me, but for the most part, I’m pretty riveted to the story and definitely will be reading the third book.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 5, 2024Heartbreaking story wonderfully written. An honor to read.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 29, 2023The original story line and characters drew me in and I was into Anna especially so when book one just ended without closure, I ordered and read the second book. It was more violent than the first, but I still wanted to follow Anna. The second book ended abruptly like a tv show that ends with "to be continued." Not thinking I will order the next in the series. I'm just going to leave Anna in the woods with the gypsy family. I can't take any more of Ulf and his cruelty!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 25, 2023This book/series is excellent. Starting with 4 little girls who became blood sisters as they grew up they encountered a unfamiliar world full of hatred. It is their coming of age in a very bad time for the world before and during W W 2. There is so much love, passion and veey hard time in this series. Can't wait for the next book. I have read all of Roberta's books and they are amazing. Start one of her books today you will not be disappointed.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 28, 2023The saga continues as the blood sisters continue to maneuver life during Nazi Germany. Loaded with twists and turns and emotional challenges. This is such a unique telling of that time period. You will find yourself making every excuse to keep reading it. I knocked off one star because the amount of people falling in love with one of the characters is a bit hard to swallow - just not realistic. Still a great read.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 20, 2023Wonderful read and so thought provoking. The hate for the Jewish people and the desire to control and destroy them is shown in this book As a believer in Christ and the belief that the Jews are Gods chosen it breaks my heart to see such hatred.
I also believe that we have to study this so we can stop it from happening again.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 26, 2023I have read plenty of books but I have never read a book let alone a book series that had me hanging on every word. It got better and better with each book. I just finished the 3rd book “When Forever Ends”. I honestly can admit that I cried, I never have done that after reading a book. I can’t wait to read more books by Roberta Kagan.

5.0 out of 5 stars UNPUTDOWNABLE BOOK
Wonderfully written, I couldn't put it down. It's frightening to think another human being could do such heinous things to another person just because of their religion, but unfortunately, the Germans' hatred of the Jews knew no bounds. Everyone should read this powerful book, which, although fiction, is based on real-life events. It is a powerful, thought-provoking book.
