5.0 out of 5 stars Love love love this book!
Reviewed in Canada on March 7, 2024
I really loved this book. I don’t know if the instruction will be valuable to all weavers because it’s definitely focused on certain techniques unique to the author, but I think it encouraged you to think outside of the box when you approach the loom.

I think what I most appreciated from this book were the images of the authors workspace. The instructional images are incredible, but seeing the environment where this maker is creating was wildly inspiring to me.

She very obviously is completely investing in the skill and has designed a life around her methods of contemporary weaving. When I put the book down, it was to rearrange my workspace so that it would support my creative vision which was powerful.

I really recommend this book but read the description, maybe check out the artist on instagram (her account is amazing) and don’t complain if it’s not what you expect.

The media could not be loaded.
Just one way and one way only.
Rya knots and some basic stitches on a picture frame with panel pins knocked in. Yes, done that already .
The sections on design are just really pathetic.
I tell you what's better than panel pins ... Cut slots with a coping saw! No scratchy nails getting caught up.
Very pretty style the author has but it's not a book on
" contemporary weaving". It's just one style.
