Judi Thompson grew up in El Paso, Texas and moved to Houston with her husband Roger in the 1980s. She has two sons and seven grandchildren and enjoys living in the Bayou City. She is proud to be a native Texan and enjoys the rich history and diverse cultures of the state.
Judi has been interested in writing since her early teens and published her first poem in the school paper while in high school, but was unable to pursue her passion until recently. “I’ve always carried stories around in my head, imagining scenes and scenarios. I thought I might be a little bit crazy until I read that one of my favorite authors did the same thing. “
Judi retired from a rewarding career in education as a speech language pathologist, educational diagnostician, and special education supervisor. Since retiring, she and her sister Charlene Tess have written several novels under the pseudonyms Tess Thompson (combining their two last names) and Annie Curtis.

I love the characters! The only problem is I won't know what's happening with them until the next book comes out. They feel like family. How the authors can incorporate evil with goodness is truly a gift.

In Houston, Texas, a young woman’s body is found and her death is unusual. She has been garroted with a violin string, and in the palm of her right hand, investigators found a musical note drawn with a black marker.

FBI agents Macy Adams-O’Brien and her partner Jesse Silva are called to the scene, and realize that the murder fits a pattern that they’ve seen before. Other young blonde women have been found murdered the same way and with the musical note drawn in their palms in places all over the country.

Macy and Jesse find out that their victim had attended a concert that evening by the famous country group, the Chamberlains. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the Chamberlains were on a tour, and had played in other cities where similar murders had taken place. Was it a coincidence? Was a band member involved? Macy and Jesse rush to figure out the identity of the killer before he strikes again. Time is running out!

An exciting read and a look into the world of musicians and concert tours, and how complicated cases are solved through diligence and cooperation. I really enjoyed the book!

The ladies of Tess Thompson always keep us guessing!

This new to me author has a new fan! Tess Thompson is the pen name of a sister writing duo who knows how to spin a tale.

Twisted Melody is book 5 of the Chance O'Brien series, but while it obviously has a core group of characters from earlier books, I was never lost or felt that I needed to read the prior books to understand this storyline.

While this book is about the hunt for a serial killer, the murder scenes aren't gorey or over the top. There is enough detail to grasp the horrendous crimes, but the focus is on how the FBI agents with the help of police find the killer.

I guessed the killer early on, but questioned myself throughout because of the red herrings sprinkled about. I couldn't wait to find out the who, why and how!

I will definitely be looking to read more from the talented sister duo of Tess Thompson.

This suspense fi!led thriller will bring Agent Macy Adams O'Brien and her partner out .When Macy gets a call from Sheriff Clay Davis she knows its going to be bad.She has to be helped down the hill to the crime s end since she's only fIve weeks from having her baby boy.The coroner asks her couldn't she have sent someone but Macy said I can do my job an my partner Agent Jesse Silva will be here soon.Looking at the victim she noticed shed been strangled with a violin string possibly raped.Country band with twins lead singer is Piper Chamberlain. She has a remarkable look to the victims and the victims were killed when they had a concert In the town.There are so many twists an turns to this story you will be riveted til the very last page an leave you begging for more.I love the way this amazing author brings the story and you can feel the characters emotions a their pain.I can hardly wait to see what's next by this multi talented author.

This book has everything you’ll ever want in a romantic thriller. The characters are so real and you love them instantly. The challenges they face are true to life and make you want their HEA. Charlene Tess keeps you on your toes and guessing the whole story. She’s a master at writing fascinating plots, twists and weaving a tale so gripping you won’t want to stop reading! The way she blends romance throughout and with such challenges to the characters is absolutely wonderful. The serial killer portion is at once creepy and yet you can’t stop reading. If you haven’t picked up any of the books in this series, you need to buy them ALL and read them in order for the fullest experience. Getting to revisit characters from some of the other books in this series is the cherry on top of this creative sundae! I’m in love with this book! I very happily read a copy of this book and am leaving a review.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "TWISTED MELODY" WOW!!! What an on the edge of your seat intense dark twisted murder mystery so full of secrets, intrigue, suspense, lies, twists that make this an addicting page turner you can't put down.
FBI Agent Jesse Silva is hunting a serial killer targeting young blonde women who stangles his victims & cuts their hair off, these women have a connection to Piper Chamberlain a talented singer in a Country Western Band & plays the violin, does this put her in danger also.
FBI Profiler Macy Adams works with Jesse Silva to figure out the twisted secrets & lies that surround Piper & her twin Colt before another victim is taken.
I definitely recommend to get this interesting, engaging, riviting, intense story to see if Jessie & Macy catch the killer before there's another victim, could it be Colt he's been acting stangely,is he the killer or a pawn in someone else's game its a must read you don't want to miss you certainly won't be disappointed, so well worth the read, I loved it 🖤
