She loves writing swoon-worthy Southern suspense because her childhood fantasy was to become a spy, but her grown-up reality is that she's a huge chicken and would have been caught on her first mission. She prefers to live vicariously through her characters by putting them into terrifying situations while she sits at home in her pajamas. Lynn H. Blackburn loves writing romantic suspense because her childhood fantasy was to become a spy, but her grown-up reality is that she's a huge chicken and would have been caught on her first mission. She prefers to live vicariously through her characters and loves putting them into all kinds of terrifying situations while she's sitting at home safe and sound in her pajamas!

She’s currently writing the Gossamer Falls series set in the mountains of Western North Carolina. The series will include three novels and one novella and kicks off with Never Fall Again.

Unknown Threat, the first book in her Defend and Protect series, was a 2021 Christy Award finalist, and her previous titles have won the Carol Award, the Selah Award, and the Faith, Hope, and Love Reader’s Choice Award.

Readers get to meet the characters of Gossamer Falls, with longstanding family rivalries that makes me think of the Hatfields and Mcoys. In a small town where everyone knows everyone’s business, Landry Hutton tries to remain anonymous. But someone is out to get her, and she turns to Callum Shaw for help.This story isn’t a high-action, full-speed-ahead on every page kind of novel (which I love), but that didn’t stop me from being totally engrossed in the story. With lots of red herrings and danger, the story focuses more on Callum and Landry. Both have past relationship issues to deal with, but everyone knows they were meant for each other. And, for all the suspense junkies out there, don’t worry, the ending is a doozy – it’s dripping with plot twists and excitement! Blackburn has a nice balance of romance with threads of danger woven tightly together throughout the story, propelling the reader to an epic finale. I think this is going to be a fantastic series!     (Well all the swoony parts at least). I’ve been a fan of all things Lynn H Blackburn for a while now but even I was not expecting to be this obsessed with this book!!! Landry has officially become my favourite FMC of all time. I found her honesty and desire to tackle communication problems head on to be so refreshing and endearing. I loved the way she babbled. I loved how emotionally attune Cal was. Their relationship was perfection from day one and the progression had me cheesing so HARD. The plot twists and action were not as heavy as previous books but that was okay with me. It was way more romance than suspense, but the suspense had all the right plot twists to keep me guessing. I loved everything about this book and I’m just sad I have to wait for the next one.

    I’ve read all of Lynn’s books. This one was a particular favorite of mine. Landry and Callum both had a lot of obstacles. Eliza was just precious. It’s fitting that the innocence of a child can bring others out of their shell. Eliza was so good with Mo and Callum. I love big families that truly care about each other. I look forward to more and will be preordering the next book.

    Author Lynn H. Blackburn introduces her new series, Gossamer Falls, with book #1, Never Fall Again. I loved Cal and Landry as her choices of names for the main characters! Blackburn has crafted a moving story of two strong, independent people who have suffered terrible heartbreaks. They never intend to fall for anyone again. That is, until circumstances cause their paths to cross, and then the unexpected happens. This quote is one of my favorites from Blackburn’s book:

    “Landry took a deep breath and went for it. ‘I know that if you ever got to the point where you were willing to risk it, I would be safe with you.’ ‘Landry, this’–a quick squeeze–’ isn't risky. This is right.’”

    My favorite thing about this book is the way that Blackburn takes a plot and creates a beautifully crafted story that compels people to feel as though they are participants rather than mere readers. It was a pure delight to watch this mystery be solved and to watch this glorious love story unfold.

    This is my first book by Ms. Blackburn and wasn't quite sure what to expect. Their are multi generations and there was a family tree at the beginning g which helped me somewhat. Once I was able to get the plethora of characters I enjoyed myself immensely.
