I purchased this book for my 12 year old grandson but of course I needed to read it1st! So glad I did!
Fast paced adventure that will speak to his age group without being childish. (One of his complaints)
Filled with good science and logical thinking as well.
An enjoyable read even at 63!

Carlos is a likable kid who readers will relate to as he struggles to reconcile his extra responsibilities as a big brother helping out his single mom with wanting to be out racing bikes with his friends. When confronted with the life-or-death danger of a killer bee attack, Carlos has to use his wits and find the courage to fight his fears and save his little brother as the stakes ratchet up.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat! Just the right amount of suspense, thrill, challenges and twists and turns for young readers. I enjoyed seeing the brothers interactions play out. Great role models. Very nicely written. Can't wait to get this for my grandchildren!

Bee prepared for one heart stopping escape after the other. Students will not be able to put this one down! The bee jokes and puns add to the story. Kids, parents, and teachers will love all of the bee facts at the end.

Full of suspense as two brothers fight for their lives to escape a swarm of killer bees. Great for middle graders but parents can enjoy it too. I think this book would be a good resource for teachers since there are a bunch of bee facts and a list of other resources at the end of the book.
