About the author

NJ Moss worked as a ghostwriter for ten years before he turned his skills to his own work. His latest novel is The Fame Game, a twisty and twisted exploration of social media, mental illness, and what happens when obsession goes wrong.
When he is not working on his next thriller, you can normally find him walking his dogs (Loki and Gizmo, a Jack Russell terrier and a Chihuahua), rollerblading up and down the promenade of Weston-super-Mare, or spending time with his lovely wife.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 9, 2023I enjoy this book. However, the book was a little dark and twisted. It did have the suspense of a psychological thriller.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 4, 2023NJ Moss does it again! Mr. Moss is one of my top 5 authors, and he does not disappoint. This is yet another one of his "hold on to your seat, this is going to be a wild ride" novels! I was hooked by the first page. At times I realized I was holding my breath, in fear for the main characters, the twins. In addition, there are multiple twists that I never saw coming. Thank you, Mr. Moss! I'll be looking forward to your next one!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 17, 2023This is a new author to me.I was very confused about this book . I thought it was slow at the start but I just didn't care for it. Sorry
- Reviewed in the United States on December 30, 2024I love thrillers and I was very intrigued by the premise of this one. Buuuuuut, this was not for me. It was about two twin sisters who traded lives because each one is trying to escape a bad situation. It’s told through the POV of each sister and at times I found it difficult to keep track of which sister I was reading about. I don’t have triggers, but for those who do, this book would have every TW possible: drug abuse, domestic violence, rape, murder, child abuse, child pornography, and so on. I’m not a prude any means, but books like this make me wonder how people come up with this stuff?
- Reviewed in the United States on October 16, 2023As always with NJ Moss books, this one was dark and disturbing and full of triggers. It started out good, but then it got weird. I didn't really like how it all came together. I also found myself confusing the twins. I wanted to like it more than I did, but it just wasn't for me.
Thanks to Bloodhound Books for the eARC.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 5, 2023I have always been interested in the minds of twin and this was definitely a psychological adventure. It was dark at times but I really enjoyed the store and keep me wondering what what happen next, and was pretty easy to read although alot of twists in the plot. I will look for other books by this author, as I enjoyed her style.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 18, 2023Wow!! Thriller indeed !! Be prepared to not want to put this book down once you start it!! Gripping tale that keeps you engrossed and guessing to the end that by the way you really don’t want it to end! Characters and story sucks you in !! Thanks to Bloodhound Books for my ARC ! Definitely adding this author’s past and future works to my TBR list!!!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 16, 2023Beware of thinking that the grass is always greener on the other side is the lesson this book describes in perfection. The characters are like onions--full of layers---and the plot itself unfolds like a cinnamon bun just not quite in that nice round way since there are enough twists and turns to make this story need a sign that says "curve up ahead" or you might get hurt thinking you are on the right path. N.J. Moss is a master storyteller especially when it involves some darkness. I voluntarily reviewed an advance readers copy of this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A gripping gritty page turner. Not for the faint hearted!
This story is based on twin sisters, Sadie and Lorna, who exchange lives. Neither know what they are letting themselves in for. This book takes you on a rollercoaster ride of how their lives develop and intertwine. This book is definitely not for the faint hearted and is another must read from the amazing author N J MOSS.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disturbing
I did finish this book, it was gripping and there were lots of twists and turns, however I found it a very uncomfortable read and the content was disturbing - domestic violence and sexual abuse. Not for me at all.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great story with even better twists
Twins. One bad, one good. Or both bad no, both good?!
I couldn’t put it down until I found out!
A book that keeps you guessing and has very human and real characters but with a massive twist of what the heck!

5.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected
Very gory at times but you almost sympathise with what these women have been through and the reasons for their actions. The connections between the characters is very well written though I would still like to see them develop further and continue on to a kind of freedom of possible
