Sheltered by the Mountain Man: A Curvy Girl, Instalove, Runaway Bride Romance (Rosewood Valley: Mountain Men Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.6 out of 5 stars 75 ratings

I'm supposed to be walking down the aisle. Instead, I'm running for my life—straight into the arms of a bearded mountain man who looks at me like I'm his next meal.

Vincent is everything I shouldn't want: rough, wild, and adamant about keeping to himself.

But in his secluded cabin, with danger lurking at every turn, I discover a protector I never knew I needed and a passion I can't resist.

He says he doesn't do love. I say I'm not staying. We're both liars.

As my past catches up with us, Vincent's possessive grip only tightens. Now, I have to choose: the life I thought I wanted or the man who's claimed every inch of my body and soul.

Sheltered by the Mountain Man is a short, sweet, and steamy small town instalove romance with a happy-ever-after. It can be read as a standalone or together with the rest of the books in the Rosewood Valley: Mountain Men.

This is a good, sweet, well written, Mountain Man/Curvy Girl romance. Sadie is getting married. As a wedding planner, she should be happy but her mother and MIL have made most of the plans for a big wedding. Admitting she is not happy with the wedding or the groom, she runs. Vincent is a solitary man returning to his mountain home when he sees Sadie running down the road in her wedding dress. Read why he stops and offers help.

Well summer Rose did it again. It’s a very good short story. All I can say is she’s lucky that she ran away from her ex fiancé cause he was a real piece of work. I’m glad she found her true love.

After realizing her life had been planned out for her, Sadie decides to leave it all behind and runs away. Vincent comes driving by and stops to give her a lift. Vincent promised himself he would live a secluded life but something about Sadie is giving him second thoughts. As sparks fly between them, can they leave the past behind and build a new life? Great story.

This story was a great look at what true acceptance and unconditional love really is. A bride running from a life of pretending to be happy to find herself in a life of honesty, vulnerability, and no pretend. It's all real. She finds that she is finally seen and heard. And she opens him up to new possibilities. It's a sweet story of love that was meant to be.

*Sheltered by the Mountain Man* is the first book in the captivating *Rosewood Valley: Mountain Men* series, and it sets a fantastic tone with Sadie and Vincent's happily ever after.

As Vincent heads home before a storm hits, he can't help but stop for a woman in a stunning white wedding dress on the side of the road. That woman is Sadie, determined to escape marrying the wrong man. As a wedding planner, she never expected to be a runaway bride herself. The moment they meet, the connection is electric, and the sparks fly. But Vincent has chosen a life of seclusion in the mountains, while Sadie has just fled from her past. The big question is: can they both heal, move on from their previous lives, and forge a beautiful future together?

This sweet instalove story is expertly written and perfect for a single sitting. I can't wait to dive into the rest of this amazing series!

Sadie is a wedding planner; but her mother and groom's mother ran the show. They had decided a society wedding for their kids. Sadie ran out before walking down the aisle. Matthew tried to fit Sadie who had curves into a fashion plate for country club events, etc. Vincent was driving when he spotted a bride in her wedding dress with rain coming down running from the church. He stopped to help. Sadie finally told him the next day why she ran. Will she get him to tell her why he lives alone with scars on his back? What happens when Matthew shows up at Vincent's cabin wanting Sadie to come back with him to try the wedding again? What does Vincent want from Sadie?.

This is a different kind of romance novella. Sadie is a wedding planner who realizes she's not in love with her rich, oppressive and controlling fiance, Matthew, and leaves him at the altar. Vincent is in his way back to his reclusive home when he sees her and offers her the steady support and, ultimately, love that she didn't have in her "previous" life.

This story was simple and beautifully/ emotionally written. There were some holes not answered at the end, but they didn't bother me too much.
