My review doesn't break down to each story because I am sure that there are plenty of others will feel the need to lay out the plot of each one. However, I enjoyed reading the vast majority of the stories and found at least a dozen new authors to exp!ore. You can't knock that with a sharp stick ... or something like that!

Good but reinforced my dislike of the short story...they always feel unfinished.
No true resolution, they just leave you hanging.
As collections of short stories go, this one is rather good.
Recommended, IF you enjoy short stories.

After being immersed in my favorite author’s series it is nice to take a break with a group of good short stories. All of these are good, but Noah K. Sturdevant’s story “Caged” is by far the best. Filled with his usual brand of sly humor and appropriately scary powerful beings. Definitely a collection of UF stories you’ll enjoy.

I found at least 4 new authors to read, so excited. This the first anthology where I didn't skip stories, I read every single one.
I got it because of Martha Carr, who is fantastic, but I continued reading for all the other authors.

I really enjoyed all the stories in this anthology. I bought it because it had a few of my authors in it and found several more that I will be looking into.

I was really set to enjoy this anthology, but was quickly disappointed. Usually when I get a hold of an anthology, I find new authors and/or series that I want to explore. While some of these stories piqued my interest, especially those in the second half of the bundle, the interest isn't compelling enough for me to follow up on. Overall, "meh" probably described my feeling upon conclusion. It wasn't awful, definitely, but I didn't get completely pulled into any one story.

I enjoyed almost all of the stories in his anthology, something I can’t say about others I’ve purchased over the years. A couple of the authors will see purchases from me in the future!

Very good to great Urban / Magic / Fantasy stories mostly of strong, capable, and occasionally humorous, female lead characters. This genre is not my core reading, as many other authors I've read in these genres have had an underlying bitterness which is absent in these stories.
The book is highly recommended for itself, and as a gateway to many readable new authors.

Edited from 5 stars to One Star.
Not on the quality of the writing, but rarher on the authors choice to remove the book from Kindle without notice. I tend to get books on KU, read them, re read them if interesting, and then buy the Kindle edition if I find it worth keeping, so that the author may be paid twice. I deleted this from KU, went to buy the Kindle version, and found that only a paperback was available, at a nearly hardback price.
I will try to contact the author directly, but at this point, Martha Carr and her co-writers are off of my buy or read lists. I generally buy and read in excess of 100 new books per year. Done.

Great short stories from around the world.
Interesting ideas from all the different authors, with a variety of magical yet with the same basic theme of the summer solstice.

A good mix of short stories all centred around the summer solstice. I hope there will be a Winter Solstice collection
