As a lifetime Catholic I was beginning to question aspects of my faith. My prayers were answered when my cousin gave me this book to read. The hundreds of near-death experiences researched by the author that are the basis for this story have helped to give meaning to my life; and answered some questions that were burning in my soul. I have subsequently purchased 10 copies to give to my adult kids, my brothers and friends for Christmas. I want them to experience a similar awakening. Faith is "believing without seeing"; this is the closest I have come to seeing for myself!

This book is different than the other near death experience ones I’ve read. It makes much more sense, even though it is fiction. The author has done considerable research and the results are Star Trek meets Revelations meets Donte. (Just a bit of humor)
The author portrays God as the source of light and love. She does it in a new and interesting way. This is definitely a book to read if you are struggling with your faith, and, if not, it is an interesting, faith affirming book. If you ever questioned what life will be like after this one ends, I would say this gives an accurate picture, and alleviates all fear. Forget the traditional stuff you’ve learned in the past, and read this with an open mind and heart. This book is truly Spirit Inspired.

A fascinating story with tantalizing glimpses of what heaven and hell might be like. It’s an emotional rollercoaster at times with the death of loved ones and suffering being part of the story. Those darker moments are balanced with healing and reconnecting with family members.
The footnotes are interesting and added a welcome depth to the story, I enjoyed them as an information junkie. However, you can enjoy the story quite well without any of the footnotes. The story easily stands on its own.
I give “At the Edge of the Jordan” 4.8 stars.

I highly recommend this book. A quick and informative read about near death experience (NDE). The author skillfully entwined their research on NDE into a fictional story of Aislinn, chronicling her near drowning experience, to relate a mosaic of experiences relayed by actual NDE stories. Depicted with a Christian perspective, the story embraces a viewpoint of universal love and acceptance of all faiths. I read the Kindle version which allows for pop-up footnotes relating actual NDE experience reflected in Aislinn’s story. The footnotes offer access to the experiential stories discovered in the author’s research. At the end of the book the author offers book club discussion points for sections of the book, allowing an opportunity to further explore the NDE research

This book is fascinating fiction with a non-fiction flair! Anyone who has explored the idea of near-death experiences will find the book true to the accounts of those who have experienced NDE's. Leah has flawlessly written a beautiful story around this topic and the story will lead you to important questions we all ask about our faith. She opens the door for us to examine our own beliefs about hell, faith, miracles, the meaning of life, and most importantly the question, "Does God really love me and accepts me for who I am?" When I finished the book, I felt a renewed conviction about what I believe about God and the importance of extending God's love to others. If you are on the fence about this book, BUY IT!

This is one the best books I have read and I highly recommend it! Leah's book has answered many question on death and dying has enlightened my perspective of life after death. She vividly captured my interest and addressed many questions as she masterfully shared Aislinn's story.

Following my mother's death, I read other accounts, but none compares to her extensive research. The notes and web addresses shared provided the opportunity for further details and explanations.

Recently, my father and I engaged in conversation on this topic. I am so thankful that I had read Leach's account and was able to share this perspective.

If you are fearful of dying or think death is the end, I highly recommend reading this book!

I love to read, and I can say with certainty that this is the most eye opening book I have ever read! I learned so much from Aislinn’s story. It has provided me with a different way of thinking about life, death, and what happens after we leave this world. I now have substantially more peace about the future of my own life and our world. The author compiled a tremendous amount of research on real near death experiences and clearly discovered some striking similarities and insights, and then translated it beautifully into an engaging and extremely satisfying narrative. The characters and plot are captivating and the writing is descriptive and beautiful. It’s a wonderful spiritual journey. If you want to live with more purpose in your heart and possess a deeper understanding of life, this is the book for you!
